Beautiful Book
This book is absolutely beautiful. It's hard to find any books with peafowl in them for kids. I keep and raise them, and wanted something to send home with my small nephew after a visit to the farm, and this was PERFECT.

Awesome book !!
Beautifully illustrated hardcover book. It's a great story with a life lesson about knowing who you are and what you can do. Everyone has something they are good at doing. The writing is amusing and flows well. I bought this book for my 4 and 6 years nieces , and they just loved it - the story, pictures, and vibrant colors. My 6 years old niece read the story in her storytelling session at the school, and everyone loved it.

encourages readers to celebrate their difference and opens the door for important conversations
Mo isn’t like the other peacocks with bright, bold, beautiful feathers, his feathers are white and Mo can’t help noticing, focusing and feeling down about his differences. His friends try to encourage him to celebrate the way he looks but it takes a storm for him to finally embrace standing out. This beautifully written and stunningly illustrated new picture book encourages readers to celebrate their difference and opens the door for important conversations about the many different forms of beauty.

Beautiful story for all ages
This is a great book filled with lessons about what it truly means to be different while also showcasing great models of community and true friendship. I will happily gift this to a child in my life but even at 19, I myself took away some valuable reminders and also appreciated the additional information about peafowl at the end!Brilliant, accessible, inclusive words from Sita Singh and the story is brought to life through stunning illustrations by Stephanie Fizer Coleman! Birds of a Feather belongs on every child's shelf.

Excellent book, important message and gorgeous illustrations
This is a well illustrated, well written book with an important message about inclusion, diversity, acceptance and self esteem. Peacocks are majestic birds and pride of India. Their colors, feathers, dance and sounds are unique and attractive. The beautiful story of Mo is timely as diversity and inclusion are increasingly recognized as important core values of the society. Every kid should read this book and all libraries should have it on their shelf

Illustrations!
COLOR AND SHADOWThe use of color and shadows is imperative to tell this story. Mo's white feathers contrast with those of his friends and the setting. Every scene has bold hues with tiny details that evoke emotion. The other birds cast shadows but Mo doesn't - showcasing that he is the source of light.TEXTUREThe combination of airbrush, brushstrokes, and lines gives the wildlife an overall dense and vibrant texture. The bodies of all the peacocks have the most subtle strokes and Mo's white plume isn't pure white - there are hints of browns, reds, and yellows to give his feathers texture. The way the rain is drawn shows the wet atmosphere without inhibiting details of the animals.

Bellissimo educativo originale
