Do I have to leave this product on top of the cat food or can I mix it in?

For my dogs, i mixed it in with their kibble and moisten the kibble because they would not eat it at the bottom of their bowl by itself if it filtered through.

Is this meant to replace brushing your dog’s teeth? Can you use this product and brush your dog’s teeth?
