Oil stain is gone!
The stain was horrible! To the point I was about to rip out my granite counters. I treated it 3x with stonetech oil and stain remover. Between each treatment I made a paste with baking powder and let it dry over night (used same instructions as the stonetech). Then I soaked a paper towel in hydrogen peroxide and laid it over the stain over night. It took two weeks but the deep oil Stan that was at least 12x12" came out and is almost unnoticeable.

Welcome to the Natural Stone Support Group (And yes, Stonetech is a good product)
Welcome to the natural stone support group. If you are shopping for this or similar products, you probably need more emotional support than you need a product to remove stains from your natural stones LOL.I've been there, done that. You have a remodel project going or waiting for your new home to be built. Time to make decision about your countertops. You fall in love with the natural stones. You are in a vulnerable state and fall prey to the lies natural stone companies tell. They make you believe thet the stones are indestructible, and that you are good to go once they are sealed.Lies...all lies...100% pure lies. But you don't know that yet because you are infatuated with your stones. They probably wouldn't sell anything either if they told you the truth, right? So you spend the big $$$$ and are happy because when the kitchen remodel is done or your new house is delivered, your countertops look breathtakingly beautiful. The honeymoon period is cut short the moment you see your first stain. It probably came out of nowhere too. What happened with the sealer? Wasn't the sealer good for for a few months at least before you needed to reseal the stones?Denial - Anger - Bargaining - Depression - Acceptance....you go through all of the stages of grief!Best piece of advise to anybody reading this: if you are thinking about natural stones for your countertops...just don't! Seriously, don't do it. It is probably the worst decision you'll ever make in your home...especially if you might think about renting your property in the future. Quartzite is the worst offender from all natural stones by the way. It is crazy beautiful but extremely high maintenance.Exceptions: natural stones "might" be ok if there are no children in the house, you are 100% committed to wiping every drop of water or oil literally right away (yep...even after the stones are sealed) and covering the stone portions next to stove each time you cook (yep...because any splash of hot oil or boiling water will go through even the most expensive sealer). By the way...companies that sell sealers are full of lies too!Having said all of that, Stonetech gave me the best results so far from all the products that I've tried. I have Quartzite, which is really a maintenance nightmare. The "removed" stains look similar to what a tattoo looks like after a tattoo removal: most of it is gone but you can still see the shade of it. This is better than having a full blown stain, but not 100% the way it was before. You may get better results with other natural stones. Again, Quartzite is extremely difficult to maintain even after being sealed properly with the best sealers. And this is the truth that natural stone sellers don't tell you: all natural stones are more fragile than they seem and ALL of them without exception WILL get stains.... even if properly sealed. You've been warned. Good luck with Stonetech. It is really the best product out there to remove oil stains. And yes...it has an incredibly strong citrus odor...though it is not as unpleasant as other reviewers state. Just open the windows for a little bit after applying them and you'll be fine.

Apply heavy and the product worked
Laticrete Oil and Stain Remover (The Winner) This product worked, but only with heavy application. The mistake I made was not applying it far enough past the edges of the stains. As a result, it pulled oil to the surface — but left a ring of oil around the treated area. So while the product worked, I ended up with a new ring stain around each spot I treated. (You can see this in the pictures I’ll share.)However, I did seal my pavers with 511 Seal and Enhance and it did hide he light discolored oil rings.

This will kill you.
If you have any kind of scent or chemical sensitivity at all, DO NOT buy this. I'm laying here at 5 AM after having not slept a wink all night in EXCRUCIATING pain from this stuff being on my kitchen counter on the other side of the house and the smell is still being sucked through the AC and distributed throughout. Everyone in my family has headaches. Yes, my windows are open. We have air purifiers in every room. It's absolutely UNBEARABLE and I don't even care if it gets the stains out at this point, there's no way to use this product safely. Find one without VOCs. They exist and I wish I knew that before I wasted money on this. I would give it no stars if I could just because of the extreme toxicity. You should only ever use this in an unoccupied home with a gas mask.

Oh My Gosh!
I am so happy. This stuff removed a deep oil stain from my marble when nothing else would work. Pure whitest white with gold veined Aspen-Lincoln marble had a huge deep oil/ lotion ring from the bottom of a counter mirror. Made me and my wife sick to our stomach seeing it on the 3 month old $7,500 slab in our bathroom. Tried baking powder poultices with dish soap, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, acetone…. Nothing touched it. Placed this Laticrete product on for about 80 hours and was patient . This solvent penetrates the entire slab. Amazing results! Oil ring was totally gone. Had to be patient following for the solvent to totally evaporate and the marble to lighten up again….. and it did. Can’t recommend this product high enough!I was responsible and first tried each poultice on a sample chunk of the same marble prior to trying on the counter. Never know how a natural stone will respond.I’ve never had a ‘magic’ product work before. This one came through when it was really needed👍Just a follow up a few weeks later: Still very pleased with the results of this product. But there is a trace of white solvent-bleached marble in the pattern that the poultice was applied. After curing-evaporating out of the marble fully, the white bleached areas blended into the bright white marble about 99%. Fully invisible to the unknowing eye. But having seen this result, I would be very careful using this product on a natural stone that was any darker tone then white. It has the potential to leave a bleacheds-out look where applied. Be very careful and test your surface with a sample first!
