Great Gift For A Ditzy Yet Loving Sister
I've got two sisters and, as adults, they're both great to have in my life. As far as males are concerned, both of them have, how shall we put this politely, memory issues. One of them is a complete ditz who is constantly leaving behind something: a cell phone, a digital camera, a purse, you name it.Although this functions as a Bluetooth speaker phone, I got it as a gift for the aforementioned sister because of the "electronic leash" function. When this and her cell phone are separated by about fifteen feet (not thirty as the manufacturer claims), the alarm goes off. And that's great for her. It's helped her avoid losing a cell phone several times already.PS One of the reviewers claims that the speakerphone ringer always goes off during meetings, but you can program this device so that the alarm goes off only when it and the phone are separated, and not when there is an incoming call.Five stars because the thing actually works as advertised and performs multiple functions. Yes, it does work as a Bluetooth speakerphone. Yes, it does work as a wireless Bluetooth leash. And yes, it does work as a manual panic button.

Worked great!
I purchased this as an emergency pendant for my father. It worked as advertised and he has accepted it without complaint. We placed it in a marine cell phone pouch and attached it to a lanyard so he can wear it in the shower. No problems so far and the pouch does not prevent the speaker or microphone from working. There was one pleasant surprise. I figured that the pendant would make answering calls and talking directly through the cell phone impossible. Thankfully, that is not the case. If you answer or place a call with his LG cell phone, then you can keep talking as if the pendant was not there. If you answer using the pendant, then you need to keep talking using the pendant. This is differential to the other blue tooth devices I've used in the past.

I really wanted this to work...
I read the reviews, and yet still decided to go ahead and buy it. My biggest concern is leaving the house and forgetting my phone. As is pictured above, I attached it to my car keys. Hung them up and went about my day. I didn't even get out of the room before it began wowowowowow. Ran back, unattached it, and carried it back to phone. Now as a woman, very little of my clothing have pockets. So am I supposed to carry this around in my hand all day? or carry a purse around my house? All this does is add one more device to remember to have with me. And if I were good at that I would not need a device to remind me to bring my device. If I were at work, god forbid I take my phone with me around the building...or when I ride my horse I tuck my phone in my pocket, not enough room for all of these things. Can't wait until the first time I valet park. Who picked 30 ft? and when I mute my phone, the bloody thing still rings, but can't leave it because then it howls. I really wanted this to work. A post-it at the back door does the trick...

ZOMM Works better than expected
The remote paired with the phone works just like its advertised. In fact the battery seems to last a little longer than its rated. The only reason I can't give it 5 Stars has to do with its range. It will sound when the Bluetooth signal gets weak but still in range (25-30ft). I know this because a Bluetooth headset will still be in use when the remote sounds. Its great when your out but in the home or at work it can be a pain sometimes.

Zomm Wireless Leash for my Cell Phone:
These little gadgets are fantastic. We are retired and visit the casinos frequently. You just can't hear your phone while the slot machines are going off. I have a problem with my phone slipping out of my purse and my Zomm has saved me replacing my phone at least 7 times in the past year, which has saved me a bundle of money. This is my second Zomm. My original one went through the washer/dryer:(

Don't you dare Zomm away from your phone!
Before I get to the overview of my ZOMM, I do like to say that it is a decent product, though it is not high quality (unless it can be improved).-Wireless leash: The wireless leash feature is perhaps the most useful feature of the ZOMM. Unlike some of the other reviewers, my ZOMM never went into a false alarm, unless I accidently turn off my phone. Walking out of the Bluetooth range will cause it to vibrate, then flash before the buzzer kicks in. This is a neat feature of the ZOMM to help people keep track of their phone.-Speakerphone: Ok, but not great. The speakerphone feature on the ZOMM does NOT provide a high quality sound (even when compared to a speakerphone on your cell phone). It's miniature speaker is being overdriven and sometimes, when you press the "Z" button the speaker does not come on and you have to switch to the ZOMM option on your phone to get it through the speaker. I seriously do NOT recommend using it when you're driving, since not only is that feature frustrating and only provide low quality sound, but it can be just as dangerous to use speakerphone when you are steering as if you are putting your phone to your ear.-Panic alarm; Not very well designed. The panic alarm feature requires you to hold the "Z" button for 9 seconds before the siren goes off. If you are being attacked by a madman and you try to activate the siren, your attack would most likely hit you or snatch the ZOMM away before the 9 second mark, forcing you to release the button and making it useless as a panic alarm. And even if you were to hold the button down past the 9 second mark, you will be disappointed by the volume level of the alarm, since the siren does NOT seem to be much louder than a typical alarm clock (though this is understandable, since it only uses a miniature dynamic speaker and not a high-efficiency piezoelectric speaker). It is not going to get a lot of attention and the attacker might just laugh it off. However, the emergency call feature (activates if you hold it down for 15 seconds) may be helpful, if instead of you being attacked by a bad guy, you had a fall and you had the ZOMM connected to your phone, you can hold it past the siren and program the ZOMM to dial 911, you can quickly get help. I did not test the feature due to the law against calling 911 during a non-emergency situation. Even though the siren may NOT be enough to scare off an attacker, it is still a little bit loud, so you may have to get ready for it and hope it does not make your situation worse if you have a heart attack..Overall, it is a neat product if you just want a wireless leash. Not so useful as a speakerphone nor a panic alarm since the speaker is not designed to be excessively loud nor is it very clear.
