I bought them to grow Microgreens and they do the job well. A nice size for home use, not the great big trays. They are easy to use and clean. If you want to use a spare bottom to cover your germinating Microgreens, then the work just fine for this, as it's the way I grow them. You could probably use them for germinating seed sprouts, but if you are wanting something to do that specifically, there are better options. But, I love them for Microgreens.

.....there’s always a “but”. The trays seem very well made. I followed the instructions which are a bit of a palaver (changing water, rinsing the seeds). I found getting the seeds (radish) to sit separately in each compartment was a bit of a pain. I struggled to understand how only water could make these seeds grow to the required size, but gave it a go.Just as a sort of control, I put some seeding compost into one of the green trays, chucked in some seeds, and put a thin layer of compost on top of the seeds...no rinsing, no paper, no changing water. Guess what? After 8 days the seeds in soil are a country mile ahead of the elaborate “no soil” sprouting system. Getting on for double the size, and looking much healthier and robust.I will give it all another comparison with pea shoots, but I think I will come to the same conclusion......just using the green trays with soil will be the better and less involved system for me, and so far, is giving significantly better results.FOLLOW UP The pea shoots. Same story again. Not doing too well following the instructions. Green tray filled with seeding compost.....the peas are reaching for the skies miles ahead of the “palaver” ones. Trays are great quality, so I will simply stick with the seeds in compost method.

It is easy to grow. I am growing pea shoots, don't know the result yet, but it is a good purchase. Buying 5 in a set is certainly value for money.

Not had the chance to try it, but its quality plastic that should last a few seasons of hard use. Tried this method before, but this looks more professional than my previous efforts.
