If you're looking to track down a vacuum leak and just need smoke, this is the best device I could imagine you'd find. The built-in air compressor works likes a charm and it puts out enough smoke to fine your leak in just a few seconds. Mine turned out to be a major leak in the diaphragm of my DISA valve on my E46 BMW. If not for this machine I would have attempted to replace the gasket instead of the whole device so this saved me a lot of time.Pros:Smoke starts in under 30 seconds.Lots of Smoke and good pressure.Insanely easy setup.Comes with so many attachments!! More plugs and adaptors than I've seen with sets costing double this one. It even comes with a bottle to fill the oil!Cons:Baby Oil Smoke stinks and sticks to you... do this outside if possible.Tips:Fill oil, connect power and wait 30 seconds. Then press the already lit up green power button (it'll turn red) to start making smoke.I didn't realize that it wasn't making smoke until the power button was pressed. There is no power button for the compressor and it runs as soon as you connect it to power, which may make you think it's making smoke as well - it isn't.If you need a tester with a pressure regulator I would still recommend this brand since this device is amazingly well made. I've used it 5 times so far and tested all sorts of things with it...so happy with this purchase. I was really afraid of buying a tester at the low end of the price scale but I'm so happy I found this gem.PS, mine came with about 15 rubber stoppers and adaptors and a few other things not pictured in the sales ad...that was a nice surprise!

The machine works well. Easy to use adapters, and puts out enough smoke to check for leaks. Comes with a small bottle of oil. Was able to find an evap leak in the fuel tank fairly quickly.

Diagnosed my car EVAP system using this nice unit, came with good instructions and everything needed besides the oil which you can get at the closest grocery store. Already saved lots of money by diagnosing leaks myself instead of having a shop do it. Recommended!

So first off i'd like to say this actually is really not hard to use, buy some baby oil and there you go. the attachment options are nice wish they have a few more nozzles but seems like a solid construction.Side notes: if you could add two power options a power cord for battery and wall plug would be amazing.Pros: Gets the job donehas most adapterscheapCons: smells bad if you use baby oil so do it out sideuses your battery so if you have issues be careful you dont strand your self .... depleting your battery.Doesn't really specify how much baby oil just to add 20ML each time of use which i could see as an issuean indicator would be nice

I had a check engine light problem indicating lean conditions on both banks one and two on my older Toyota Camry. I used this unit to "smoke" the system which revealed several leaks that required attention. The unit is easy to use and produces plenty of smoke and pressure. It is important to note that the kit includes a variety of plugs and other useful items which are necessary to get a good result. I believe buying this tool more than paid for itself and probably saved me several hundred dollars.

This is the second one I ordered. First one didn’t work well not sure if it was my fault or if the smoker was defective. I decided to replace it with another one to make sure because it had some good reviews and it was cheaper than most of the other smoke machines. It works very well and blows a lot of smoke. I found 3 vacuum and 1 evap leaks. Great smoke machine to find any evap or vacuum leak. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Great buy.

It worked ok at first. Does not come with instructions or any oil. I used it about a dozen times before it stopped creating smoke. All it does now is pump oil out of the hose.

Produces smoke within seconds. I use plain mineral oil. The accessories allow it to be fitted to multiple size openings. Super convenient to have the air pump built in. By hand holding the fittings to the large air intake I was able to easily build up pressure with the smoke, revealing leaks in unexpected places. A very useful tool to have in my kit.
