Cool shower drain!
I love this linear drain. It looks very modern and give a whole feeling of sophistication to my new shower. It required a little more work to install because we relocated the drain to be along the end wall of the shower, so the concrete had to be chipped away to make room and then run new drain pipe to it, but the extra work was worth it.The insert/cover piece can be flipped to be used on either side - one side will accommodate tile pieces so it will blend in more with the rest of the floor, or it can be used with the flush side facing up so you see all of the metal cover. It also has a neat little basket strainer that goes in the drain hole under the cover to catch any debris that goes in there which helps keep the drain lines clear. Great product that looks sharp!

Don't mess up your high end shower with this piece of garbage
I used this drain for a bathroom reconstruction after flood damage. I sincerely wish I knew the brand of the drain that was there previously. The design of this drain is terrible! The drain cover rests on plastic feet that have to be glued on with silicone adhesive. Not only do they fall off every few months and have to be reglued, they also catch the hair and suds that go down the drain, resulting in a yucky mess whenever you pick up the drain cover. The stainless steel pan underneath has a coat of black paint which is gradually peeling off. The hair catcher basket is hard to clean due to the fixed piece across the center. None of this was the case with my previous drain. And, the other linear drain had a design where you simply push down on one end of the tile piece to raise up the other end. This one requires prying it out with the wire tool (a flat blade screwdriver works much better) which is awkward and annoying. Finally, the edges of the cover are sharp and uncomfortable to stand on. The previous drain cover design was so seamless you felt nothing different about it. It does function as a drain so I gave them 2 stars for that. But, for the love of all that is holy, don't screw up your expensive shower redo with this piece of garbage.
