Emerson EM229 Wireless Bluetooth Headset

I actually was referred this by by a local store in the electronic area but its expensive so decided to go get it off of Amazon instead am anxios to get started using it as this will be my first blue tooth :)

Good for the price! Sometimes it gets a little static, but most of the time it is fine. For cheap bluetooth it works pretty well.

I would give it to eurostar's if that was an option. I bought a couple of these, one to use right away, and one uses a backup. I just open the second package and it won't charge. I've used this exact same Bluetooth for the last for five years and I've never had this happen before. Apparently there's something wrong with it electronically. Frustrated because the return window was months ago. I didn't know there was anything wrong with it so I didn't set up to have it replaced. Now that the return window is over and I have a Bluetooth that doesn't work, I'm out the money I paid for it and don't have a Bluetooth. Pretty frustrated.

Good volume and clarity, some callers could not hear me clear. Sometimes has trouble connecting to Bluetooth. Nice features. Great price. Using it with iPhone 4. Thinking of upgrading to a higher end as I like the chordless feature. Good battery life. A little hit or miss for me, Good unit to see If wireless is something for you.

actually, my first one I got for Christmas worked better than this one. I broke the first one. this one has a little issue with reception

This is my second one after I lost the first. Clear audio. The person I am speaking to has less trouble hearing me clearly. Fits my ear better & doesn't pop out like my previous ones did.

I'm having trouble understanding some of the low to mediocre reviews I'm seeing here.I bought this ear piece in the states recently for $17.00 and it has the features, and functionality of a much much more expensive unit.First, the device comes with a separate car charging adapter, something that many manufacturers charge $15-$20 independently of the actual device, it also features a USB charging cord, and an adapter so it can be charged directly from an outlet..The device has separate buttons for power, and volume and another for call answer and end. Most earpieces I have had usually have one big generic button that controls powering, volume ( if they have it at all, many i find have no external volume control, but rather rely on the volume of the phone) and call answer / end, which you then have to press at different lengths and patterns to figure out how to do what you need it to do, including pairing. This unit has a power on/ off button so that you can be sure that you've powered off the device when not using it, a separate volume function that works completely separately from the phone volume, meaning I can control the volume on it by raising the volume on my phone AND boost it up even further by pushing the volume on the device itself..,Most devices I've had simply do not have good enough volume, and I've found myself both having to listen too carefully to make sure that I'm getting every word, which sort of defeats the purpose of a hands free device. if you're driving and you're paying too much attention to trying to listen to the call, you're not fully paying attention to the road. The volume on this unit is quite loud, and is quite clear.The mic pick up is also good. I notice that with many Bluetooth hands free ear pieces I end up talking much louder than I normally would do with the handset at my ear because the mic pick up isn't nearly as good as it should be, which also has the unintended effect of if you're walking with the device in your ear and talking on it, making you look even more schizophrenic than you normally would. Inevitably everyone who is walking, gesturing, and talking into an earpiece looks like they're having an imaginary discussion with someone who isn't there. When your mic pickup on the device is too low as however, as opposed to just looking like you're walking down the street talking to someone who isn't there - IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU'RE SHOUTING AT THE IMAGINARY PERSON WHO ISN'T THERE!! I've found that due to the good reception, and the good mic pickup I'm not only not straining to hear what's being said on the other end, I'm also not raising my voice to be heard!The device has several different sizes of the soft rubber parts that sit between the speaker and your ear canal so that you can size it to your comfort, it's comfortable to wear, once I have it on, I forget I'm wearing it until I mistakenly lift another phone to my ear and remember it's there, and it also has an extra plastic piece that wraps around your ear and holds it snug, which is always it seems the part that either falls off and go missing, or breaks making a perfectly functional earpiece completely worthless to anyone but the recycling people. Adding a spare one of those half cent plastic ear wraps has probably doubled the life of the product for me, as I find that those fall off, get lost or break long before a device actually dies of old age or malfunctions..I've only been using it for a few weeks, but if this device keeps functioning at it's current level, I would easily say, it's going to be the smartest $17 I'm going to have spent this entire summer.Oh yea, one little extra thing.. the device allows you to pair it to two phones... SIMULTANEOUSLY!!! .. No, you heard me right.. this $17 ear piece stays paired with two phones at the same time, meaning I can take calls on two separate phones without having to disconnect one to take a call on the other. Maybe I'm not staying current on the state of blue tooth technology, but having that feature on a device at this cost really made me want to come here and write this review.This is a feature that as far as I know is usually only limited to Bluetooth devices that are over $50 in starting price..So I'm not really sure what the deal with the reviews here that say " It does just what it says it will do, and no more" or " it's just ok" As far as I'm concerned, this is feature rich, and an incredibly good value and would be even at twice the cost. .. I'm really pleased with it..

It wouldn't charge after about 2 or 3 uses.
