So purchased this because a Kestrel is out of the question currently due to cost. Some of the matches I shoot there is no data for the phone. I am currently shooting PRS matches using Strelok Pro. This unit works great, should help to make the wind calls better and elevation data with Density Altitude a bit better.Some of the reviews had issues connecting to programs. With Blue Tooth Low energy you do not pair like a normal device. Let the program find what you are looking for. Mine would not connect, tried an old phone and worked like a champ. So if you run into this problem look under apps on Android, system apps. Find the Bluetooth app and force stop it. Clear the cache if you can and relaunch BT. Mine connected fine after that.One review complains about altitude and Density Altitude. Density altitude is a measurment of Temprature, Pressure and altitude combined. It is extremely accurate for ballistics and is used in Aviation as well. It will be way different then your Altitude and changes dramatically on ambient temp. So not the same as your altitude ASL.The guy currently ranked 2nd in the PRS Southeast division uses this with a ballistic calculator on his phone, squaded with him at VPRC Qualifier and he won the match. This system will work if you like a phone based ballistics calculator and dont want to spend the money on a Kestrel 5700 or 5700ab.Combine this beauty with a current or old phone, and a program like Strelok Pro and for 100 bucks have something that can get you first round impacts at 1000 yards.Also comes with a nice little hard case.

Works great with ballistic apps.

The only downside is that it came with no instructions. Had to use the google machine to learn how to properly operate and calibrate it. Super easy to use though and love it for the price point. Easy Bluetooth connection. From what I read it has a super long 300+ hour battery life. I’m excited

Pairs perfectly with the GeoBallistics app and was exactly what I was looking for to pair with my Vortex Impact4000

First Weatherflow Meter I received had been a returned item and was sold again to me. I know this because when I received the first one it had been poorly re-shrink wrapped, the first thing I noticed when opening it was the box had been torn by the previous recipient then the plastic battery separator tab was bent from where the previous recipient had attempted to reinstall it. I soon discovered why the previous recipient retuned the meter, it would not register wind. I blew into it and watched the blades turning yet the Arc App that the Weatherflow Meter is to be used with registered a zero mph wind. I returned the meter and exchanged it for a replacement. The replacement arrived and seemed to function as expected initially while at 60°ish degrees. That all changed once I took it on my hunt which is what I had purchased it for. The morning of opening day I went to create a quick reference DOPE chart for the elevation I was hunting in. This time it registered a wind reading of 30+ mph inside the truck without any air movement. The blades were stock still yet registered high winds. The only thing I can think of is that the cold must affect it significantly as it was 25° in the truck that morning and had spent all night in my pack in the truck. However, had I known that it would only function correctly at ideal temperature I would have saved my $85 and put that money towards a Kestrel instead. At this point it's past it's return window so I guess I'm stuck with an unreliable piece of gear that only works in moderate temperature which is very inconvenient considering most of the hunting I do is during the colder months of the year. Like I said, invest the money in something of better quality.

Can’t get it to connect to my app on my I phone

Bought as an alternative to a Kestrel w/AB. Paired it with CE and Hornady's ballistic apps with zero issues. 100% worth the money. Comes in a slick little case. I have a small ask for weatherflow. These are usually going outdoors in BFE(you know, really close to the battery store), could you modify the case to carry an extra battery? Storing it in the same case would be a super swell benefit. Nice product.

Accidentally bought the weatherFlow wind meter instead of the weather meter. Seller was very helpful in correcting my mistake and gave me a return shipping label and refund upon receiving the wind meter. Top notch customer service, very pleasing to work with. Hope to do business again. Thank you very much.Testing out the weather meter and seems to function as advertised, pleased so far. Only thing during testing and communicating with weatherflow and ballisticsArc they mentioned the built in compass isn't 100% reliable and to use your devices compass and not the meter.

I have talked to the manufacturer and they made this unit for a while with NO compass. The latest brown units DO have a compass built in, which is necessary for integrating with Strelok Pro. I have returned mine.Some Youtube videos show the Blue unit with a compass but that is OLD info, according to WeatherFlow. Now the only unit with compass is the Brown one # WFPSM-02 made after 2018.
