Worked as advertised
After not being able to get my snake far enough to address the clog. And before cutting the pipe I purchased this device. I'd removed the under the sink plumbing to get the device into the thicker main pipe. Simple, easy to use fix to clear the clog. Do make sure you've a bucket in place. Being a first time user I turned off the water after starting to reposition the cleaning bladder further into the pipe. Lesson learned! Insure you have it in far enough in before starting the water. I did use a 6 inch hose extension to get it deeper in the pipe and water shut off valve to make this a one person job.

Won’t fit a 3” drain well
Barely swells up to 2” if the drain your working with is bigger than 2” go with the bigger size for 3”-6” drains.

Works great
I have been using these for years and they have never let me down. I do attach a valve at the end of my hose so i can hold it in the drain and turn on the water at the same time.

Easiest cleanout EVER!!
Apparently my downspouts havent been cleaned ever(50yrs). This gadget blew out 3-4ft long (yup FOOT) packed plant material-mostly roots & tiny plants growing in a ton of dirt & sand. Amazzzzzzzing!!HOW?? I first took down the downspout & sprayed. water into it to flush the packed materials. I let my spout sit overnight to soften it. I filled it with water in one end (it was so packed water wouldnt flow thru) and sat it upright overnite.Second on day 2, I simply put the bladder on the hose, turned the water on slowly & let it go to work. I was careful not to let the sharp metal edges of the gutter cut into the bladder. The device is like a balloon & was tight initially which worked well, I turned the water on/off a couple times moving the hose & device to both ends of gutter. After 5-10min I felt a mass moving thru the gutter along with an inceased amt of water. Finally the contents of the downspout came out in one long piece - a solid 3-4 foot piece of plant material!!! Amazing & super easy.

DON’T buy
Poorly made! The first 10 seconds the hose connector flew off the bladder. Was trying to save some time by buying one online. SMH, now a trip to Home Depot to buy a good one. I live out in the country. A ton of time wasted on a cheap part.

Goodbye plumbing bills
I purchased this to remove a clog from my kitchen sink. I read about it prior to purchasing it. I must say, this was money well spent. The kitchen sink is notorious for getting clogs. In the past, I tried over-the-counter liquid clog removers. They did not work very well. Later, I purchased a drain snake. However, the manual snake I purchased would only make a small opening in the clog which would soon close when additional waste material became dislodged. I even called a plumber (more than once) but tired of paying over a $100 for a 30 minute visit. So, I purchased this as a last ditch effort. After using it, I could have kicked myself for not buying it sooner.I attached it to a water hose, inserted it into the main drain that intersects with the kitchen sink, and advanced the hose until I hit the clog. I turned on the hose and allowed the balloon to work. After clearing the initial clog, I inserted the hose further to dislodge any additional clogs. I cleared the entire pipe (a total of four clogs) all the way to the main drain in less than 45 minutes. I don't think I'll need to call a plumber again for a clogged kitchen sink.BTW, I'm a 52 year old single woman...in case there's someone reading this and thinking they could never learn how to use this.

Great Money Saving Alternative to Calling the Plumber
This ridiculous looking device can save you some big bucks. At our house a call to the plumber averages around $300. In a recent clogged drain episode, a friend brought over one of these garden hose attachments. We had tried our snake. We tried our Liquid Plumber. Nothing was working. When mama ain't happy, ain't no one happy at our house. So we took the trap apart, attached the bladder DEVICE to the garden hose, poked it in the line, and turned on the water from the garden hose. The way this works is the end of the device opposite the hose attachment has a small hole. As water is forced into it, the black rubber bladder swells up to the drain pipe size and stops the drain back flowing. At the same time the water is forced forward through the small hole that gets larger with pressure. The pressure of the garden hose blows the drain open. In seconds, like twenty of them, the drain opened up. Then we flushed it for 20 minutes with hot water, and applied a liquid product to eat away at the grease build up. Gee at about $15 for the gadget, IT WAS A BARGAIN. Note that these devices come in several sizes from 1 1/4 inch, to 2 inches, to up to 6 inches. You need the size to fit the water line or toilet you are going to attack. After that friend showed me this rascal, I bought three sizes, and I am ready for the next grease clogg. SAVE THAT MONEY, IT'S YOURS.
