3in1 Silent Vapor Barrier Flooring Underlayment w/overlap and tape 100sq.ft by Feather Step

I bought this underlayment, or at least underlayment exactly like it, 7 years ago to go under laminate flooring and over a concrete foundation in Houston, TX. First of all, the underlayment is quiet and does what it's supposed to; and here's my case in point: My home took some damage from Harvey, not flooding, but serious leaking from the chimney (why does Houston have fireplaces?). The water spread mostly in the bedroom and some into the living room, so I had to pull up the floor in the bedroom and the living room. The bedroom had cork underlayment. I found out the hard way that cork underlayment is NOT antifungal. Cork is a sponge. If you live in a humid environment (like me) and your cement foundation is not vapor protected (old house) it will soak up water, not project your floor, and make a fertile environment for growth of all kinds of critters. But THIS underlayment totally protected my laminate floor! And when I pulled up this underlayment, despite 7 years of the "sweating" cement foundation, and that it was clearly moist between the foundation and underlayment from this, there was no mood growth, not even a mildew odor. How will do I recommend this? I just bought more for the bedroom.

I've installed about 3k sqft of wood flooring and have used 3 different underlayments. Can't beat the value.Used a few different underlayments. Not as thick as the stuff that's 4x the price, but works almost as well. Maybe 15% less sound deadening than the good stuff.All in all, I will use this for any future flooring needs.

This was so easy to install, it goes right down. It doesn't stretch and warp, or tear as easily as the other foam roll type underlayments I've dealt with, it feels more like working with the premium folded underlayments but at a fraction of the cost. Great bargain compared to box and hardware stores.Update:2nd order opened a roll that half the roll was missing half the sticky strip, and they had bonded a seam where the material had ended to a new roll, which would be fine but it was bonded crooked so it made it not line up well on the sides. A roll like that should be considered an irregular, or factory second.

 First time doing Bamboo Hardwood Floor. We ordered this from Amazon and it's amazingly nice, not too thick, 2mm cushion is just what we wanted for our floor. After the installation, no squeaks, no noise, totally flat, quiet even with our little uneven floor. Make sure to remove all staples from the old carpet or they will show up through the underlayment. The tape side is quite convenient to joint 2 pieces together, choose the side correctly for easy installation. We couldn't be happier and ordered more for our other rooms.

This is the third underlayment I tried during my home renovation, and I like this one the best. Not flimsy - it's like a sheet of neoprene material (more rigid & firm). The sheet that overlaps is thin (almost like foil) and did rip in a few places. It also has strong smell upon opening. However, overall, I would go with this if I had to redo my home again.

So pleased with this 3-in-1 underlayment that we decided to buy more of it for another room in the house we're remodeling. The price is awesome! But it seems to actually be better at dampening some of the sound of the click-and-lock style bamboo flooring we went with. It just seems to muffle the sounds from walking on it or from underneath the house better. Cheaper than the "styrofoam bead sandwiched in bubble wrap" underlayment we got at home depot.

I have used this this product on 5 projects so far and plan to use it in the future. Perfect thickness and so easy to work with. The products carried in the big box stores for twice the price are junk. My order arrives within days of placing and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much!

This was a perfect purchase. Exactly as described actually it was better than I thought it was going to be. Very easy to lay and it's works like a dream. I have four dogs and them running across the floor is virtually silentUPDATE I bought 4 more rolls from them again and still everything was 100% perfect. They are definitely my go-to for flooring supplies!
