There are two types of screw/bolt extractors. These are for "holes" and grab internally. The other type of screw/bolt extractor grab externally. So to use this particular set, you want to use a metal or cobalt bit to drill a hole in your broken bolt. You only need to go as deep as the extractor head. One your hole is drilled, then take a hammer and gently tap one of the extrators into the hole. Then using a hardened/impact socket, rotate and loosen your broken bolt. DO NOT use an air gun or impact wrench. Do this by hand using a breaker bar. You may need to tap the extractor in a few times and repeat the process. Be patient, it will work. Also, use penetrating oil such as Liquid Wrench on the stuck bolt as well. That will help a lot. There are videos on You Tube if you need further explanation. Good luck Oscar !

Do you have any special tips for removing a soft aluminum oil drain plug? it was a torx. have drilled out a smooth 1/2 inch hole.

I have these on multiple metals and they worked perfectly every time, so they should work on your drain plug.

There is no country of origin on the case or any of the individual extractors. It’s possible something was on the sleeve. But I don’t recall anything but a plain white card stock sleeve.

Can I get two of them replaced? Broke off tip/one stripped out

You should be able to replace them because of a warranty. You can contact the seller directly for warranty information or you may be able to find warranty information on the manufacturer’s website.
