Great value, pretty well made, one disadvantage
As pictured in landscape mode, it holds the tablet firmly and reliably by means of its compressible rubber padding. In portrait mode it can slip out. It is well made, except that the thread for the tripod mount was undercut, and a tripod bolt had to be forced through before the holder could be mounted on the tripod. Unfortunately, the tablet’s camera in landscape mode is off to the side, so in Zoom or FaceTime one appears to be looking away from the screen, which makes you appear disengaged.

Value priced, meets or exceeds description, works as advertized and is a value.
I purchase several things on Amazon, and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Seller's have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Great Value
Not heavy, but sturdy enough for non-professionals. Easy to use for my large tripod and 10.1 inch tablet.

Too flimsy for some purposes
I bought this to hold a tablet for a camera based app (Mantis Laser Academy) that needs to "lock on" to cardboard targets hung on a wall. When it locks, the targets are highlighted with a colored box. The app cannot lock on to the target while the camera (tablet) is moving. The app also requires you tap buttons in the app to operate it. I installed the mount on a sturdy tripod, and it'll hold the tablet stationary unless you need to touch the tablet, like to operate the Laser Academy app, or to take a picture with the tablet's camera app. Unfortunately, touching the tablet to tap a button causes the mount to flex a bit, and the app detects the movement and goes through the process of locking on to the target again. It's a bit of a PITA. Since I can make it work with a *very* light tap on the app's buttons, which takes more care than I would like, it's not worth returning it. However, if I knew then what I know now, I would look for a sturdier mount. In fairness, the tablet movement may not impact the taking of photos if the camera app has good shake correction.

Nice inexpensive tablet mount.
Great tablet holder for the price. Pros: • Sturdy • Lightweight • Metal threaded insert for tripod screw • Compact when stowed • Simple manual locking design, minimal moving parts to break Cons: • Lightweight, may not hold up long term to heavy use • Manual adjustment and lock, no spring mechanism • Only fits larger tablets • May not fit some thicker cases Fits my iPad 6th gen and Nexus 9 tablets perfectly. Fits the tablets themselves and with standard cases. Had a problem fitting the iPad with its "Logitech Rugged Protection Combo" keyboard case on. However this is easily the thickest and biggest case I've used on an iPad. Designed as a rugged field case with integrated stand, thicker than other popular rugged cases I've used. Surprisingly sturdy and well made. Honestly I did not expect a metal screw thread at this price point. Also the plastic is quite sturdy, I inadvertently tested it. It really should have broke because I tried to force it to fit over a much too large and thick rugged keyboard case on a full-size iPad. In spite of my efforts it held up!

Don’t.
Flimsy, doesn’t grip well, doesn’t rotate. Probably 3d printed. Zero adjustability. A gust of wind will slide my iPad right out of this thing it’s not at all secure.

The best way to secure my iPad at the driving range
I recently bought a launch monitor for the driving range that connects to my iPad and I needed something to connect to my tripod to secure the iPad. This holder was just what I needed. Lightweight so I can store in a side pocket on my bag, holds the iPad super securely, rotates easily and wasn't expensive. Excellent quality that will hold up for a long time to come.
