Bought these last year for our dogs and had absolutely no problems with ticks etc. We found Amazon was the best value around. Would definitely recommend them.

This didn't work at all, it had no effect what so ever on some fleas my dog picked up in the Summer.If your dog does have fleas then a better cheaper and more reliable solution is buy some Fine SALT, sprinkle this on your carpet and leave for 1 week before hoovering up, make sure you sprinkle in the edges of your carpet where it meets the wall.Wash you dog bedding in salt water [ mix some salt with water, leave for a while then spin it, then dry it either outside or in a drier] this will dry into the bedding and kill fleas, Fleas hate Sodium aka SALT !

I’ve been careful with my Alsatian, Rex, (almost 6), to treat him regularly for worms and fleas. We don’t seem to have ticks, even though the area around the house is mostly farmland. But, recently, fleas became a problem. The issue was I can’t find Spot On, which has been great at eliminating fleas, and the tablets that have come on the market seem to have no effect at all. The liquid treatments, too, don’t seem effective at all. The result, (in spite of plenty of attempts at treatment), was a worsening flea problem. I ordered this, Canishield flea collar and it’s worked wonders. It’s easy to affix, (I hide it under Rex’s leather collar), and it cleared up our flea problem rapidly. I’ve ordered a second one, which I’ll use in a few weeks. I think we narrowly avoided having to visit the veterinarian because of fleas, (the problem was getting to that point), and he’s been free of fleas now for weeks. I’m happy. Rex is happy.

Just the same as a Scalibor collar, looks and performs exactly the same - but considerably cheaper. Remember that your dog should not go into waterways wearing this, as the insecticide harms aquatic life. Not a problem for my dog as she hates water!

Always use flea collars on my cat and dog because they always do what the packet says ,the only thing I found about this flea collar was I had trouble making it into a collar ,but had to ask my son to do it for me and even he had trouble but managed it eventually .Great once fitted but not easy .

Nice slim flexible collar

My dog wore this for a month and he picked up more ticks than his previous collar. There were 2 live ticks living underneath the actual collar!

My two dogs needing these had their first peaceful nights sleep without being bothered by their unwelcome lodgers. They had only had them on that evening so they started to work straight away.
