The best Metal Gear game as far as gameplay is concerned. In fact, the gameplay is the best of any game I've played. There are so many ways to approach missions; from the classic stealth techniques to all guns blazing. Ground Zeros is a short prologue to the main game and provides a good backstory to motivate the events of the Phantom Pain. I like that the prisoners that you rescue become available in the Phantom Pain. For the Phantom Pain portion, the tactical buddies add so much to the gameplay. You're choice of buddy and load-out sets you up for combat, stealth or a mixture of both. Fans of the series might be slightly disappointed with the lack of cutscenes driving the story forward. If you want a more story driven experience then I highly recommend that you carefully listen to the cassette tapes that you get at the end of the missions. These tapes give concise but thorough explanations about the significance of the mission and its affect on the story as a whole. In summary, I highly recommend this game to any gamer interested in a 40+ hour adventure.

Su questo gioco sono state spese tante opinioni (a volte anche contrastanti tra di loro) di quelli che gridano al Capolavoro e di quelli che invece ne sono rimasti in parte delusi. Da parte mia (che non sono più un videogiocatore "giovanissimo") che ho giocato nel tempo a titoli di vario genere, posso solo confermare che questo titolo ha un Gameplay eccezzionale e appagante. La storia, anche se non è sempre al centro delle dinamiche del gioco è comunque piena di scene che catturano l'attenzione del giocatore, perchè è raccontata e sceneggiata magistralmente. Personalmente come titolo in terza persona lo considero come un punto di riferimento per la struttura del gameplay che si propone vario, ragionato e pieno di varie possibilità di azione con "gadget" e armi diversificate. Per aggirare o superare un'area si potrà agire in modi molto diversi a secondo se si decide di agire in maniera silenziosa o con armi in pugno pronti a far fuoco. Si potrà anche decidere se essere accompagnati nelle missioni di gioco da vari aiutanti (sboccabili nel corso dell'avventura) che vanno dal fedele cane che abbaia (e non solo) per segnalare la presenza dei nemici, alla enigmatica e bellissima cecchina QUIET, che si dimostrerà implacabile se la mandate in avanscoperta a presidiare un territorio. Tutto questo non sarà facilissimo,ma neanche difficilissimo. Siete avvisati: per fare tutte le missioni che il gioco propone avrete bisogno di ore,ore e ore libere per dedicarvi a tutto ciò. Il titolo quindi ha un'elevata longevità e può creare "dipendenza". Un titolo che un videogiocatore che cerca avventura, emozioni, strategia d'approccio e bellezza scenografica non deve assolutamente farselo scappare.
