There are so many to choose from and I can be picky, I prefer to see and feel products before purchasing. But, this one was worth it! It feels great in my hand, the size is great, not too bulky and not too small, the weight is great, it feels sturdy and well made. It functions just as it should and the tape pulls out smoothly and retracts without a problem. Also, the numbers are easy to read and the standout length is great! Very satisfied! Highly recommended!

It fits in the palm of an adult's hand and is a useful basic gadget for anyone who wants to measure objects. It's a portable size to fit in a purse to take with you to a second-hand store to measure used furniture. It is useful for measuring space in a dorm, apartment, home, garage, or office. It's a very reliable, retractable measuring tool and built solidly: you can't go wrong if the price is right and if the length is satisfactory for you. That yellow body is helpful to make it easier to locate the tape-measure when you absentmindedly leave it on a shelf, among detritus in a room while packing/unpacking, inside a tool box or within large bag, or in any random location while in the middle of a project.

I ordered two of these because they are handy. I thought it might be a one-off that the one I got was fluorescent orange, not so. The second one is almost brilliant enough to double as a night light. But I like the lever-lock feature and the size, so not worth the bother to return. If you're uncertain, give it a try, you can always return for "not as described"

This was supposed to be the write on model, but the one I received did not have that feature. But I still rate it 5 stars because it is such a great tape measure. The lever lock is way more convenient than the button slides on most tape measures. My old 16' LeverLock finally broke after decades of use and I expect that this one will outlive me! Just picking it up, you can tell it is a hefty, quality tape measure. The lock is very secure but releases the tape with a press of the lever.
