I have been dealing with SEVERE sciatica and back pain for over 7 months now. I had surgery for a ruptured disc that was severely compressing my sciatic nerve a month ago. I still have bad nerve pain and spasms all the way down my leg but the surgery relieved my numb foot and the constant nerve pain I was having, but at times I still can barely walk. My Orthopedic doctor said that I have Piriformis Syndrome which is causing the Radiculopathy. She is going to do injections and therapy but she recommended that I get some Lacrosse balls and massage the Piriformis muscle and muscles down my leg. So I searched around on Amazon for a kit that wouldn't cost a fortune but made well. I bought these and let me tell you I wish someone had told me a long time ago about doing this, about using these! Using the Peanut Ball on my Pyriformis muscle has given me great pain relief. I hold it on one end and really dig into the muscle with the other, all the way across and back. All of the balls are made very firm with a hefty weight to them. They really allow you to get into the muscle and provides so much pain relief. I've been through a lot of physical therapy and didn't get the pain relief I'm getting from using these!

I bought this to release some neck tension by rolling it on the floor using my body weight. It works great. Great colors too. The price is very reasonable for all these items. I would highly recommend it.

I should carry this in my bag in case I need to knock someone out.Homogeneous hardness plastic material with flex pattern and friction not suitable for massage/therapy.It’s effectively a very hard plastic river rock.It does not have the functional moderate grip/glide of a rubber/ latex/ cork/ wood/ foam/ well-designed synthetic massage tool.The surface does not have functional tension of properly made massage tools (which should have a range of slight to moderate to highly resistive “give” at its surface with a harder inner core for higher pressure uses).This is useless for its intended massage function. I recommend GAIAM.

Works well enough

The ball and peanut shape are extremely hard; was expecting lacross-ball texture, with a little give, but these are too hard for me to use comfortably.

The products feel like cheap, hard plastic. The picture makes it look like it comes with a booklet suggesting ways to use the products, but there isn’t a booklet. If I were to do it again, I would have spent a little more and purchased a different product.
