Paid for premium X2 engraving. But the words I requested look exactly like the Pic.. what did I pay for then??? Also paid for the wooden box it's beautiful looks stunning. This is a gift got my husband and quality is beyond standards I thought it would be. Clasp for the box is tight but doesn't scrap.

We got these for our cub scouts whittling badges, they worked perfectly and look great!!! So happy we got these for our scouts as for most of them it was their first knife.

This knife right off the bat starts well, the boxing isn't over done and is easy to open. When you open the small box the knife is there ready to use, it is sharp out of the box but you wont cut yourself unless you are using the knife improperly. The knife comes in a few nice colors, i chose the black one and its a nice sleek matte black, along with the knife's design and structure it looks really cool. on the back of the knife there is a small protrusion that acts as a lever to flip open the knife quickly so you dont have to waste time when you need it, and under the lever is a locking switch to ensure that you dont accidentally open your knife. the locking mechanism is fantastic and the only way it would fail is if you use a lot of force to pop open the knife. when the knife is open it has some indents to fit your fingers and makes it comfortable to hold. overall its a fantastic knife and definitely worth the price.

First, the knife is small and lightweight, like it should be. The blade is sharp and true. The locking mechanism is stiff and needs to be oiled and loosened to work properly as others have mentioned.But I have two main gripes about this knife.First, there are a multitude of sharp corners on the frame of this knife. That makes it not only uncomfortable to handle, but also a snag monster in pockets...where it should live. I had to spend a half hour filing all those tiny points to round them off and of course, that took some paint off to bare metal which will probably affect its lifespan, if you care. There's no reason for them to be like that, other than extra work to round them before paints and assembly. They do NOT increase grip. That's why there are grips on the knife. In fact, they'll decrease grip as you shift from natural holding to something that isn't digging into your hand. If your knife feels uncomfortable and you don't know why, break out a file and get rid of those frame snags. You can thank me later.Secondly, the clip. It's too tight to actually clip onto anything as it comes. You'll have to bend it. Again, more work for the user. But my bigger gripe is again, snagging edges on it with no way to remove or flip the clip for left or right hand use (or no clip for pocket loading). The purpose of a spring loaded knife is for one handed operation. That should be left or right. That clip is in the way for left hand use and showed it's ugly face when I used it camping last week and was tying off rope with my right hand and wanted to cut it with my free hand. The clip was in the way of securely holding the knife without it digging into your fingers. The clip's base requires a near full dismantle of the knife to get to with oddball, tiny/metric heads to get to it. WHY?The closing mechanism (complete with it's sharp points) requires two handed closing if you don't want to risk slicing the backs of your fingers. It works to keep the blade locked open, but again, spring loads are for one hand use. Know this going in.
