Q: does this include the inscription?

No. You have to add an inscription. I was told by the funeral home that they normally inscribe a metal plate and hang it over the urn with a chain. That's what we will do.

Q: Is the inside coated/painted?

no it is cast aluminum no coating on inside, but very well made

Q: is this urn suitable/legal for burial?

I don’t see why not. But I don’t know the rules in every state.

Q: Is this made of brass ?

I’m not sure the exact material but it is heavy and I’d coated inside with a sealant. The lid fit on tight. I was very surprised by how nice and beautiful it was. I was perfect for my dear sweet grandmother. She would have loved it.
