High Quality
In my opinion, and after spending hundreds of dollars purchasing all different types of SDI to HDMI converters and HDMI to SDI converters, if you want the product to work without worry, you buy the Blackmagic Design micro converters. I experienced, with the other no-names, monoprice, and other branded (but similar) devices I would get good video but the audio would come in and out and just cause problems all the time. Some audio levels would be great on some devices and some other of the same device the audio level would be so low you can't hear. Plug a Blackmagic Design converter - it works, every time, without fail. With the others you would have to keep buying them to keep a fresh stock in and ended up paying double or triple over what the Blackmagic design sell for. Its a no brainer. Blackmagic Design for consistent performance and less expense and headache.

Awesome little device does EXACTLY what I need.
I ran an SDI cable down the hall 200 feet to another room to broadcast an HD signal to an older projector. I needed this at the projector side to convert it from SDI to HDMI since the projector only has an HDMI input and my Blackmagic ATEM Television Studio HD has a SDI output. This thing worked flawlessly out of the box and really didn't need any configuration at all. I simply plugged it in and BOOM, the projector saw the signal and took it. No issues with audio either... it is crisp without any interference (I was careful to run my SDI cable away from fluorescent lighting that is nearby). For the money, I would totally get another one of these if I needed it in the future.

Just works... Every time.
I use this thing constantly. I have a BlackMagic Ursa Pro camera that has SDI outs and I use this thing to convert that signal into a HDMI that I can plug into just about any monitor at any location I find myself in. To give you a sense of how important this thing is to my workflow. It is the first thing I pack in my camera case before leaving for the location and it is the first thing I search for to put back in my camera case when we are leaving the location. It does need the power block that comes with it to work. I simply can't recommend this item enough. Well built and dependable. Love it!

They have a great product at a fair price
Rock solid converter!!!! I've never had an issue with black magic products. They have a great product at a fair price. I have several of these converters in regular use and find them dependable and easy to set up. The size of the unit is compact allowing you to hide it behind a wall hung TV.

works awesome with cameras and computers
Pros: works awesome with cameras and computers: Cons: It either works, or it doesn't. 1080p consoles like Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One do not pass through the converter at 1080p, which is disappointing.

Did not work like I'd Hoped.
This is a great device and an awesome company. We have used Black Magic products for years. The Micro Converter SDI to HDMI just did not work for me. Amazons return policy was great. Thank you.

Great!
Great product! Bought for our church for video distribution, it also has the loop so you don't have to come from the switcher again, so just send one line out somewhere and pull another line from this box! Make sure to get the one with the adapter, just for power so you don't have to get the adapter yourself. Really high quality too!

Works well with Tricaster!
I operate a professional Video switcher called a Tricaster TC 1. It uses 3GSDI in and out. I use this to connect the Tricaster outputs to other consumer monitors or projectors. It worked well the couple times I used it. The picture was great, and I couldn’t recommend it more for the price!! It was simple plug and play operation.
