I was hesitant at first because of rural area in Florida and complaints nobody was able to get strong cell service due to rural location only having one cell tower for region. The is no internet for this area except for satellite & in most cases did not work for people.This worked like a charm but note follow recommendation that you need to be able to receive at least 2 bars for this to work as expected. If I was outside I had at least 2 bars in most cases but when I went inside home which also has a metal roof My service dropped to zero in most cases to 1 prior to installing which wasn’t enough to even receive a phone call. I had to go outside to make or receive calls or texts and you can forget streaming anything.Since installing I get cell service which allows streaming, phone calls & texts within the main living areas of our home. This also allows me to use my smart TV using mifi box or phone hotspot which was not even remotely possible before. Highly recommend !

Purchased this unit (as opposed the the more expensive Amazboost with cabled indoor antenna) as my installation only required about 50' of antenna cable. Further, using an indoor antenna that is attached directly to the signal amplifier potentially improves performance as there is no signal loss through an indoor antenna cable. According to Google maps, the cell tower I was aiming for is just under 5 miles away - this in non-mountainous flat terrain. The yagi antenna was mounted slightly below tree top level at about 25' AGL near the roof peak and aimed generally in the direction of the cell tower. I was receiving essentially no service without this booster but can connect 4G with 4 or 5 bars shown on the phone within 5' of the indoor antenna. Checking signal strength on the phone throughout a 2000 sq ft home showed generally 2 bars or better on the phone at 15 to 20' distance from the indoor antenna - the antenna being near the center of the home. In short, install it (takes about an hour if you're handy), plug it in , it works.

Easy to install. Warning lights tell you if the signal is bad. The app is worthless. Just use your SIM card status on the phone and look at the db’s and adjust the direction of the antenna from that. Make sure you have both inside unit and outside antennae mounted where and how far away they say or it will produce interference and you will not have signal. I went from no to 1 bar before (in town) to 3 to 4 bars all the time. If you’re pointing it at a Verizon tower, some signals are caught by the unit which are not say on an AT&T tower but shows up good on the unit. That’s only the glitch of the tower signals crossing. Fine tuning your outdoor antenna solves a lot of those issues.

It made 1 bar to 3 bars on my Verizon phone and improved my hot spot too.

I bought these hoping it will work in Nigeria it failed me.
