Finally bit the bullet and upgraded from Crucial 8gb to Xtremeram 16gb. Didn't go with Crucial this time because of the great price this was going for (about $15 cheaper). My MacBook is going on 6 years old now and I'm very happy with The performance I've seen so far. It's much faster than when it was new when it came factory with only 4gb RAM and a slow 5400rpm HDD.Startup is quick, about 45-50 seconds and that's combined with a Seagate Firecuda 1TB SSHD. Not as fast as other boot ups I've seen on YouTube at 30 seconds or so but most of those are also using solid state drives.

I installed this RAM in a Macbook Pro 2011 model. Literally doubled the speed of my computer with help of running multiple audio tracks in Abelton Live 9.

Easy in a very way

Easy to install and an immediate improvement. Also added SSD drive. It's like a new Mac.

Arrived this week and installed into MacBook pro early 2011 13 inches. Powered up and got four beeps. Reinstalled my old memory and it booted up fine. Didn't want to re-order due to the fact they failed. According to the site, they said it would work for this model. Went ahead and spent a little more for a brand name.

lightning fast macbook pro....don't have to buy a new one now.
