This purchase wasn't without hassle as the first one arrived and promptly died. Returning it via Evry was a complete pain, firstly I hadn't used my printer for ages and it wouldn't print the bar codes. I rang up Amazon for help to see if I could return it without the codes, yes she said just write the address on and all will be ok! So I did and headed off to shop number one... not taking any Evry parcels that day! Next day shop number two, we got there to find the shop surrounded by police cars, back home again! Shop number three, we managed to park right outside and it was open... huge parcel shoved in their direction until they told me that it really did need those printed bar codes, I was going to have to find someone to print them for me, so back home we go still with the damn trimmer in the car. Finally I did what I should have done to start with and reinstalled my almost new ecotank printer. Labels finally printed off we returned to shop number two and waved goodbye to the dead trimmer.I'd already received my replacement trimmer and it worked beautifully, hedge cutting has never been so easy and I would recommend this machine as it is much lighter than others in its price range.A word on returns, you only have a limited time to return the faulty goods or you end up paying for both of them, which is why we were in such a hurry to send the broken one back.

Impressive battery power and super-easy to use. Great features and flexible holding positions, very ergonomic. No fuel consumption, eco-friendly and safe. Cutting blades really only good for single use but cheap and easy to buy more as needed. The blades are so much less hassle than traditional coil-strimmers. Not suitable for very heavy cutting/use in rough ground, but perfect for the garden and basic grass strimming/edging. Highly recommend.

This is a decent hedge/tree trimmer. It is relatively light in weight, but with a long reach, so is less tiring to use when reaching up to high branches. It seems durable (though I have used it only a couple of times).Please be aware that the handle comes in three sections, and can only be assembled with all three sections in place. That means that if you are at the top of a tree, trying to trim branches close to you, it is difficult because the trimmer is so long. I can't see why the design forces this - it would be better to allow the middle section to be removed to convert it to a short-reach trimmer when required.

Lightweight excellent engineered machine, cuts easily to manicure lawn edging, and weed control under hedges. Angle at 90 deg. and get defined borders. Blades are common on Amazon search and changing them a breeze. Gtech give a bunch for starters. Old machine died after six years of abuse so ordered straight away and arrived next day, sheer delight can’t wait to strim again even looking at neighbours garden.

I have had this hedge cutter for a year. It is so much lighter and easier to use than my old long reach petrol one and cuts well although doesn’t have the power to cut larger branches. I am in my 70’s and it’s used mainly for this year’s growth on hedges and topiary. This week it started making an unusual clattering noise intermittently and wouldn’t cut. I phoned GTech and was amazed by the support I received. Daniel told me it was probably the blades and as I was comfortably within the 2 year warranty period he would send me a new set. He added that if that didn’t work, I should phone him again and he would send a new motor. The blades arrived the next day, were clipped on in seconds and it is working beautifully again. Great service!

This is the worst garden product I have bought in 50 years. The battery is a struggle to remove from the strimmer in order to charge, the battery lasts about 20mins and the blades 5 mins. The build quality is poor.

This is nicely made - up to a point. It charged pretty quickly, it’s nice and light and easy to use. I wanted it because was cordless, which it is.ButThe cutting mechanism is awful, can’t cope with grass around the fringes. This isn't the usual cord mechanism, it’s a little plastic plectrum type of blade that clicks onto the mechanism, the problem is that they’re neither sharp or strong enough, the don’t cut very well, break or come off. You are provided with a bag of these, but from my experience that won’t last long.A £30 one (admittedly not cordless) from a high street store cuts better. It’s frustrating because it’s very close to being great. Its only flaw is a huge one. Sadly
