I tested 4 different phone attachment devices and this one (in my opinion) came in a close second to one made by Accuview. I think both are very capable and this one has some benefits that might tilt your decision in it's favor. The most important positive for this one is that I found it insanely easy to use. Insanely. Easy. To. Use. The co-axial X-Y knobs were fantastic and the Z knob worked as desired. At first I thought the claw shaped clip would be a big negative but once the "safety clamp" was tightened down it was remarkably stable and it gripped solidly. The other pro is both a plus and my one negative - the whole unit is made of plastic. This means it's much lighter than a similar unit made of metal but it may not be as durable. A usage note - If you're looking for a phone mount like this you really must also have a remote shutter release device or you'll be fighting "the shakes" at every picture.

Fits perfectly in my telescope and is very sturdy. It’s not flimsy and it won’t fall over. It’s well made. Parts are metal and plastic. I love that you can also customize the piece accordingly g to your telescope and phone. Visibility works well and I would recommend it.

My first impression was, "This looks cool". My iPhone15 Pro fits in it snuggly, although phone installation can be awckward. I like the set screw to lock the clamp onto the eyepiece. Even then, the clampe doesn't seem very sturdy. I also had trouble with the platform getting in the way of getting the phone's camera lens close to the telescope lens, especially with a two inch eyepiece. I haven't been able to get a good picture, using my new Celestron Starsese Explorer DX 102AZ.

I just bought this to allow me to take photos through my small Celestron telescope. Previously, I had been trying to put my iPhone straight to the eyepiece with variable results (and scratching the eyepiece). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I attached it to the eyepiece and then attached my phone, which was simple to do. Adjusting in the X,Y,Z planes was likewise simple to undertake. After literally a couple of minutes up came the moon on my iPhone!I bought the version with the remote photo capture, and true to its promise it helped eliminate camera shake which had been a serious problem for me. I could take videos and photos all without touching the telescope or the camera.My only (small) complaint was that it was a little difficult to place my iPhone in the cradle, as the extension that is moved out to accommodate different sized phones was tight.Overall, the unit worked extremely well and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend spending a little more and getting the remote; you won’t regret it.

Not really a precision piece of equipment. Too much play in the near/far mechanism. Needs to be tighter. I can get some nice shots but the mount needs to be tweaked with one hand while the other takes the picture.

I just received the product and immediately tried and used it on my Celestron Nexstar 6SE and it perfectly fit my eyepiece and easy to set up. After setting up, I placed my iPhone 14 Pro with the case on the adapter and it was perfect! I am so happy I bought this adapter because it made my viewing on my telescope much easier. The adapter is very stable and does not wobble and with the 3 axis adjustment with the included Bluetooth remote it is FANTASTIC! I definitely would recommend this to anybody who wants a stable adapter for their telescope.

Ive been able to film two solar eclipses now with this device. Its fairly solid construction but if the phone isnt balanced over the eyepiece properly, it 'll hold the phone at an angle causing only a narrow band across the lens to be in focus. I recommend mounting the phone so it rests above the eyepiece rather than hang below.
