Excellent for snow and ice.
As description stated and as INOV8's web site indicates, this is a bit of a slim shoe. However, as someone with wider feet, it was not unbearable. I have only used it for about 15 miles and it already seems to be breaking in nicely. I expect it will fit perfectly soon. The grip and security on ice and snow is perfect. However, during mixed terrain it is disconcerting when running on the occasional bare patches of hard pack or asphalt. The metal makes quite a noise, but once you get used to it, the grip still seems to be adequate. Of course, it is perfect for trails and constant ice. However, I feel completely comfortable using it on mixed surfaces. Certainly a specialized shoe, but for someone who doesn't like to miss a day of running in varied locations, surfaces and terrains, this shoes will be a perfect addition to my small backpack of shoes....

The best wet weather shoe out there.
Amazing confidence inspiring grip on all surfaces, metal drain covers, wet granite, wet tiles, mud, even wet moss/lichen covered rocks. However the studs create a very very harsh ride on concrete urban surfaces, paving bricks, tiled floors etc. Amazing for the environment it was made for, mud, wet, cold. The fit is very narrow in the forefoot.

Too narrow for me
The shoe was too narrow for my medium wide foot. I even ordered a half size larger than my normal running shoes. The Arctic Claw 300 was a much better fit for my foot. I tried to return to Amazon but didn't realize there was a 30 day time limit, which I missed by one day. :(

Studly shoes
I obviously did not pay attention too but these shoes have metal studs in the tread... Probably should return as I live in the southeast but so comfortable I am hesitating
