AntennaX 2 EuroStyle (13-inch) ANTENNA for Harley Davidson

I'd like to start by saying that the antenna works well for FM, which is all that I tested. No noticeable loss in signal. Removing the OEM whip antennas and installing these was a very quick, simple job on my 2008 Harley Ultra. I had read in the reviews that these antennas didn't screw down as far, leaving visible threads. I had the same issue. The manufacturer sent two plastic shims with each antenna, but it still wasn't enough, and the quality of these shims left a lot to be desired. I ended up going to the hardware store and purchasing a pair of chrome sleeves, which you can see in the picture.The inner diameter of these sleeves were too large for the studs. I shimmed them with Teflon plumbing tape to ensure a tight fit between the antenna studs and the chrome sleeves. After that, I screwed the antennas onto the antenna studs, using blue lock-tite; I'd read other reviews that indicated that lock-tite is needed to ensure that the antennas don't fall off due to the vibration of the bike, so I took their advice.

I broke the CB antenna on my Ultra Classic. These were cheap, and short enough to fit under the bike cover without having to cut holes for the really tall antennas the bike came with.I thought I might not get much CB signal. The signal is excellent. The FM signal is excellent. The only drawback is I had to use an included adapter to get it to screw on the the post mounted to my trunk. The adapter is narrow and doesn't make for a nice, finished look.Other than that,great price, great signal. Co pact and flexible.Update: use loc-tite on the threads. I've lost two of these when they unscrewed and fell off during a fairly long ride. I know that because both times I noticed it loose and hand tightened it as hard as I could at a gas stop, and it was gone at the next gas stop. Finally I learned my lesson and added loc-tite to the threads.

I would rather have given this product 2.5 stars because I like the look and the price but installation was not seamless and reception is worse.I did have trouble installing on my Road Glide Ultra much like many people on this thread. I ended up shortening the threaded studs by about 1/8 " on the tour pack to get the antennas to seat properly with enough threads to hold tight. This solution worked and it looks great but it compensates for bad design by the manufacture.Some have commented that they notice no difference in reception. Not true in my case. There is definitely a drop in reception on FM, weather and how far away from my city I can go before I start getting loss of signal. The stock antenna did a better job.I did not throw away the stock antennas but have not been motivated yet to re-install them…yet.

The antennas work fine. Seem to pick up radio stations as well as the original whip antennas. My problem is that they claimed to be a perfect fit for Harley Davidson Electraglide and did not fit. The antenna would not screw down tight to the mount. I had to drill out some faucet washers to use as spacers. This made it fit and look like OEM. The problem is that I installed them in my garage on a cool evening and when I rode the next day in the heat, the following day the base on each antenna crumble into multiple pieces. I could crumble them in my hand. Poor quality plastic in the bases. I will need to create a new base from small tubing or something like that. I wrapped the threaded part with rubber tape, temporarily. In the end it will work out but not without spending time and money to fix the problems.

So I give them 2 stars for style on because I like my OEM antenna whips. My bike stood out in the crowd not like everybody else's and believe me they stood out. As for installation I give it three stores because like a lot of comments. When threading these new antennas down all the way they were quarter shy being all the way down. Instead of trying to put a sham or something like that the cover for the quarter inch I just went ahead and cut 1/4 inch off the of the thread which is made out of brass it's screwed on no problem.

These antennas work well for picking up AM, FM and WB stations. My biggest gripes about them are the cheap spacers they provided and they don't return to straight position when bent over by my cover. I found my own rubberized spacers to use which I hope will provide friction to keep the antennas from spinning off from vibration during a ride. I chose not to go with loctite since I'll have to remove the antennas when I put the cover on. Updated rating: I've used the antennas a lot since I first wrote a review. (Including a 350 mile ride) The rubberized spacers worked well to keep the antennas from falling off. They also picked up radio stations very well. Overall, I am pleased with my purchase.

The other reviews are surprisingly mixed, leading me to think that there is more than one version of this product. I got this for my 2012 Tri Glide, and my experience has been good. The antennas fit perfectly and look much better than the long, whip-like stock antennas. I get great reception on FM, but cannot comment on CB quality, since I never use it. Indeed, I rarely listen to radio while I'm riding, but when I do, the sound comes through loud and clear.UPDATE: I removed one star from my original review. Although radio reception was good (I have since sold my Tri Glide and bought an Indian Chieftain), the antenna continually came loose as the result of vibration. One could probably solve the problem with some  Loctite , but I would recommend finding better antennas.

The product looks fine and appears to work well enough. Biggest pet peeve is that there is too large of a gap between bottom of antenna's and screw attachment. Black washers that where provided are cheap and "a joke", they take the appearance and make it look very cheap. I drive a Harley Road Glide Ultra '11.

reception is very poor .these are cosmetic only . i live in a small city with no obsticals .very dissapointed .tottaly false 99% or better reception .buyer beware

Fairly fast delivery antennax Canada but came postmarked from Florida. As most reviews mentioned I had to use black washers underneath the antennas as the threads were too long but if you're even a little mechnicially inclined it's an easy fix ...as far as looks ten times better than the factory truck whips. Radio reception is almost as good as the factory whips I can't seem to get reception on the cb antenna however I don't use a cb

They not fit on Thread, it havé 1/2 inches gap Space when They are full scew. Also thé plastic is too rigid And no refind thé same form when bending when i pût my batch on my Harley.

Ordering was fast and easy,service was exellent product came 3 days earlier than promised.Antenas look great, but after sitting in the sun they warped a bit,but I can live with that.For the price and service can't go wrong...!!😎

2007 Ultra classicexcellent product the reception is a good as the factory antenna with a much better look!!
