Amazing Game
Simply one of the best game on the Nintendo Console for all ages. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a truly beautiful experience. From its stunning art style to its heartfelt story, the game captures a sense of wonder that’s rare to find. The world feels alive with color and imagination, every town and landscape carefully designed to make exploration rewarding. The story of young King Evan and his quest to build a new kingdom after losing his throne is emotional and inspiring. It’s about hope, rebuilding, and unity — themes that hit harder the longer you play. Gameplay-wise, the combat system is fluid and easy to learn, but it still offers enough depth to stay engaging. The blend of action RPG mechanics, kingdom management, and light strategy keeps things fresh. And the soundtrack, composed by Joe Hisaishi, perfectly complements the tone and atmosphere of the adventure. Overall, Ni no Kuni II is a masterpiece of art, story, and design. It’s the kind of game that reminds you why video games can be such powerful forms of storytelling and creativity.

Worth your money!
(Female: 25, been gaming my whole life, have played through Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch) Okay first things first, this isn’t a direct sequel to Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It’s set in the same world years later! So getting the sequel vibes out of the picture you can start to understand and appreciate that the battle system, characters, and other things are going to be different from the previous game. I love this. Instead of turn based fighting it’s more hack and slash—think BOTW Zelda— you can easily switch who you control during battle from your 3 person party. There’s no familiars this time around—like Pokémon— but instead we get more aid from higgleeys who help you without you having to control them. I prefer this to the familiar route of the last game. There are new things too like sieges where you control four groups against armies to win and also building up your Kingdom from scratch! Getting new citizens is a big thing too that takes up a lot of side quests. The side quests are different too. Instead of getting most of them from Swift Solutions aka the adventure guild you get them from the people themselves. But don’t worry Swift will show up in cities with some side quests and objectives for you to complete as well as his token system still active. Just different. This is a good thing. So looking at this game not as a sequel but as it’s own game with just ties to the ni no kuni world and some homages to white witch I find it’s an amazing game with heartwarming characters and stories. I’d definitely recommend this game as long as you’re okay with it not having the turn based fighting system. I know some people prefer that to hack and slashes—I do not—. You still have fun finding and creating higgledys and upgrading them but again they are completely different from familiars and should be treated like so. Anyways I hope this helped you make a decision on wether or not this game is for you!

Super cute game, with lots of content. Hours of fun!
This game was a great sequel to Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. I was excited to purchase this, as it was a sequel to I really enjoyable and expansive game. What's great about this game is all the DLC has been put into the game so you don't have to buy any additional content. It's well remastered and a lot of fun. I sunk in a good 100 hours easy into this game. It's a great combination between legend of Zelda/Final Fantasy and maybe Pikmin. Plus, with a greets Studio Ghibli style animation vibe. The game was at a fair price, and the distributor did a good job packaging it and sending it safely.

Beautiful Game, But the First in the Series Is Better
As a huge fan of anything Studio Ghibli-inspired, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom is a gorgeous game with its charming art style and whimsical world. The gameplay is solid, and it’s great to have it on the Switch for portability. That said, if you’re new to the series, I’d recommend starting with the first Ni no Kuni game instead. It has a stronger story and feels more magical overall. Revenant Kingdom is still a good game, but it doesn’t quite capture the same magic as its predecessor. A nice addition for fans, but not the best entry point for newcomers.

Great Game if you love to micromanage
A good port of a game I already loved on the PS4. Played it all the way through again, and loved it just as much. You do NOT need to play Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch to play this game. It may have a 2 in the title, but it is not a sequel.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom on Switch is a beautiful and charming game that really draws you in. The world is colourful and detailed, the characters are memorable, and the story has plenty of heart. The Prince’s Edition adds some nice extras that make it feel special, especially for fans of the series. The combat is fun and generally smooth, though it can feel a bit repetitive after a while, and some side quests don’t add much to the main story. Loading times are reasonable, but the Switch version can occasionally feel a bit clunky compared to other platforms. Overall, it’s a delightful adventure for anyone who enjoys RPGs with a whimsical feel and a strong story. It may not be perfect, but the charm, music, and world-building make it worth the journey.
