Can I add a hard drive to this computer?

You should be able to, my Pavilion has an extra internal bay to add a hard drive, plus you can add more external drives via usb ports (ssd or hard drive in an external enclosure or dock)

Are they purposely not showing photos of the back because they know that no gamer will want to buy this because it has no "display port?"

The photo of the Ports do state what the rear external ports are. HDMI Out and VGA. This tower has 8 GB RAM and is clearly not designed for "gamers". LOL

Does it have a CD reader or does one need to be installed?

Yes. This tower has a DVD/CD Writer/Reader installed.

Nice, solid home computer.

It came with higher-than advertised memory speed. However, to utilize the faster speed to its full potential, you need two matching sticks of RAM. So, for full potential, you still need to buy two matching sticks of memory, not just add another one.

Dead on Arrival

Unit was dead on arrival and won’t boot up. Either a faulty motherboard or power supply with no beep codes or power present. What a Christmas Bummer.
