LOVE MY GARMIN
I have owned 2 garmins Mk 1 and Mk 2 I have really enjoyed both of them, and only got rid of the MK 1 to upgrade to the MK2 which offered a smaller, more feminine design- unfortunately this came with the price of a little decreased battery life, but still a great watch- I probably wouldn’t have upgraded, but my Apple Watch was broken and I was wearing my MK 1 everyday as a smart watch and as a petit woman it looked a little funny. I digress The MK 2 offers air integration, if you’re into that kinda thing- I’m an old school SPG girl myself. Yes the gps doesn’t work underwater ie you can’t swim randomly in one direction and Siri won’t turn on directions and tell you how to get back 🤪but, it drops a GPS marker with EXACT coordinates of your entry and exit points (coordinates go all the way to like the 8th decimal place). And there are several screens once the computer enters “dive mode” one of which is a very detailed compus. Prior to my first MK1 I had a very basic scuba pro dive computer. Every time I wanted to change my nitrox percentage, or alter any dive perameters, it was hard to use and not intuitive. The garmin is easy to use and very intuitive. I can also screenshot some photos of the app and show you how the GPS coordinates pull up- but you can also access them on the computer itself. It’s got lots of other great features- HR, RR, SPO2 analysis and calculates an exact % of N2 and CNS 02 toxicity in blood. It can also be used with other sports including kayaking, paddle boarding, running, or anything you wanna use it for. You can also pay extra to get color weather radar and lots of other apps. Garmin also offers the opportunity to set up emergency contacts who can access your latest gps info in case of emergency. (Yeah if you didn’t make it back to the surface you wouldn’t have a second mark) but if you are lost and your computer is still working on the surface you can manually drop GPS pins at any time and I’m assuming your emergency contact would be able to see them. It has lots of great features. Just takes playing around with it and getting to know your computer. I’ve done about 100 dives with Garmin now and I’m never going back! I need to get garmin to sponser me lol. I’m a huge believer in their product.

Excelente producto

New to scuba
A little complicated to set up but once configured it’s a perfect dive partner.

Not for only female divers
Am 169cm(5'6'') height instructor. Smaller than MK2/MK2i, Lighter than MK2/MK2i is great fit for my size. Battery is shorter than MK2/MK2i, but w/USB charging cable, no matter where you on liveaboard trip. So far my "best buy 2021"

Overpriced and problematic
I purchased this watch for scuba diving and free diving. I’m total I used it 6 times… the 4th time the additional straps snapped and I wasn’t able to wear it over my wetsuit until I replaced those. The 5th time my battery decided after 4 hours it would die and required rebooting and a lot of patience. The 6th time I fixed all of these kinks and bought new straps from Garmin sink could use this watch ash scuba dive computer. Upon taking my giant stride into the water, the brand new Garmin bands snapped and my Garmin has been MIA for 4 days now. When I reached out to Garmin they basically said “sucks to suck” so I would go elsewhere. Spending over 1000 on a product should last you longer than 6 uses

It does everything and it’s beautiful!
I have a verrrrry small wrist and I was worried this watch wouldn’t fit or it’d be too big on my wrist, but I absolutely love it! It fits great, is comfortable when I’m sleeping, the battery life is substantial, it literally does everything you could ever need, and it’s easy to navigate if you read the manual. Haha! The first and last watch I’ll ever own. So so happy with this purchase.
