Kicker KBRW12 (47KBRW12) 12" Passive Radiator

Not good as expected.

I’m using a pair of 12s PRs with a pair of 10s on 1200W RMS. Roughly a 6db output increase at 39hz compared to my previous sealed setup with the same actives. Great option in a marine environment to give you ported output without the extra enclosure volume needed for a ported setup. Additionally prevents anything (water, bugs, etc) from getting into the enclosure- a bonus in a marine environment. The active 10s I’m using displace more air than what the 10” Kicker PRs could reliably handle and so the 12s were needed. That brings me to my ONLY gripe and that’s unfortunately the inability to add mass to tune them. My guess is that this was intentionally left out given they were probably designed around their loaded enclosures and selling them by themselves was more of an afterthought than anything. Given the right enclosure volume and active driver size one should be very pleased with the results if matched appropriately. They fortunately worked well for my build but keep in mind PRs are not just a cut and bolt solution to a current sealed enclosure. Overall though, very happy with, quality, output and durability. Done right, they provide a dramatic difference.

Brought out the beast in my 12" Kicker Comp I had installed in a smaller enclosure box. The sound is still tight, but louder and more responsive. Totally worth it. I gave it 4-stars because it did not include hardware.

These are great radiators for thin enclosures. They use no internal airspace. Don’t be afraid to drill a hole and add a bolt and washers to tune them. Took my .6 cube single 10” TW3 and made it sound so deep and full.

I got this to build a custom shallow enclosure for my sub, and so far has been a great challenge to get it done right. Once you do it, you'll love it. Nicely done. Brand new on box and has stickers to cover screws/bolts.
