CM-1695 Minimoka Espresso Machine, 1.5 L, Black

Quite happy with this budget cappuccino machine! The hardest part of using it has been readjusting to manual steaming and pulling (I worked at Starbucks for almost 4 years; those automated units were lovely).Pros:- Filter holder glides easily into place, while still maintaining a good seal- With practice, it makes really good foam- The price, of course!- Flavor of both espresso and steamed milk are great!Cons:- A little too much crema on a standard 1 oz shot. Flavor, however, is good, and ristretto shots come out very nicely!- Package does not include a steaming pitcher or shot glasses- Steam wand is very low to the counter top, meaning a standard steaming pitcher would be cumbersome. To give you a sense of a comfortable height: I've been using a copper and stainless steel mug (such as for moscow mules) for steaming milk.- Shot glasses rattle around a lot during espresso pull, sometimes sliding out of place.NOTE: A lot of these reviews state that the unit stopped working after about 6 months. I've seen these reviews on just about every brand of cappuccino machine, and the reason is that you have to clean these things really well, EVERY TIME. The steam wands especially are prone to get clogged, so the longevity of your machine is dependent on good priming, post-use cycles, and scrubbing the steam wand clean.

My first Espresione lasted many, many years without any problems. It made just the best espressos with incredible amounts of crema even using the least expensive coffees. Sadly, it finally gave out on me and it might have been my fault as I never attempted to declassify the machine. Well, I read the reviews when it came to get another one and could not believe others had had such a bad experience with the machines. I ordered it anyway and it was sadly true. The brand new machine did not work!! I tried everything and it still would not work so I returned it. Sad as I loved this machine and the price at close to $120 was great. I ended up getting a $500 Breville as a gift from my company and after weeks working with it it finally makes espressos with lots of crema but I have to pass a lot of water peor to making the coffee in order to have it come out hot. The Espressione was always hot and lots of crema on the first try! Loved that little machine but it appears it’s a hit and miss as to whether you get a good working machine. Sad.

Excellent product, delivers great pressure on coffee making a great crema.If I am not mistaken is the same spaniard company that makes coffe makers called demoka or something, I used to have one and lasted years.

I give this product credit or making a decent cup of espresso. Good "rat tails" and a strong crema. *However*, the reason I purchased this machine, instead of a straight espresso maker, is because I want to froth milk as well, and at that it is *terrible*. Instead of a continuous supply of steam, which nearly all other espresso makers I have owned (the good, bad and indifferent) do, this machine seems to run out of steam after 20 seconds, after which one must wait for the water supply to reheat and steam for another 20 seconds. This will definitely get a cup of hot milk, but not a good foam, or any kind of foam at all.Now, if one wants merely espresso and hot milk, by all means, buy this, it's adequate. If, however, you want a good foam on your latte, look elsewhere.

Great machine for single useeasy to use

Makes excellent coffee (also americano). I hope it lasts. I don't use the steamer so I can't comment but it seems to work fine.Downside: noisy and vibrates, so watch the cup through the brewing process.

Get machine in non working condition, produced only noise, water is not coming through coffee filter, cheap plastic and aluminum instead of of steel. Disgusting. Refund.
