Duck cabin heater
Bought this heater for my little duck cabin in Arkansas. It heats the cabin up quick and is quiet. Shipping was quick.

Heater
Love it so far, but it hasn’t really been used a lot, but I probably need to get more of those plugs that go behind it to keep it from moving when you lean up against it because I have not those things out 1 million times so that’s the thing I think we will have to purchase so you might want to consider putting Thicker ones or more

Saved us this winter
Our 5 brick burner bit the dust in late November. Was also a Mr heater that was 7yrs, years old. Worked so well so long I came back but the 5 brick was unavailable at the time so I got this one. And it saved us this winter. Be sure you have the right fittings if this is your first purchase however. I had it already because I just pulled it off the old one. If this is your first time you'll need to make sure you have the coupler this is the heater only.

Beautiful Piece of Equipment
The frame is glossy painted metal, unlike plastic Flame King which is brittle and fractures easily. The pilot light is quality brass. The igniter is easy to use with AAA battery vs thump, thump, thump, tired thumb. IT COMES WITHOUT FAN WHICH AMAZON DOESN'T TELL YOU. The knock-out panel is easy with screwdriver and small hammer of you hit near the welds. The interior temperature sensor location holes are already there; need a stubby #2 Phillips. Two things they could do better; plastic legs are held with tiny #4 screws and look like they would break off easily if accidentally knocked sideways. BAD: IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO CONTACT THE SELLER SPORTSMAN GUIDE... I HAD TO REFUSE A DUPLICATE DELIVERY AND STILL DO NOT HAVE MY MONEY BACK! NO PROBLEM WITH Mr. Heater. THE PROBLEM IS AMAZON and SG.

Important Information About This Heater
First off, the Mr. Heater box arrived broken up, dented and ripped apart in several spots, however the actual unit was not damaged, amazingly!Be aware of several important factors before ordering this heater.1. This heater is advertised as "vent free", but in the manual that comes with it, it explicitly states that several (or more) "fresh air vents" are required to use this heater! This is a big negative since bringing in cold outside air will defeat the whole purpose of running a heater. I want warm air inside, not cold air coming from outside vents! I would not have ordered this heater if it had stated this in the listing on Amazon. I would've just ordered electric heater(s) instead!2. You will need to purchase many other parts/supplies to actually hook this heater up. I have a 500 gallon propane tank on my property and was hoping to attach this heater to a propane line coming from the tank, but it's not that simple. I will have to purchase a "secondary regulator" and lots of piping and special fittings, not to mention lots of expensive labor and a professional installation.3. It also shows in the Amazon listing that this heater will heat up to 700 square feet, which is not accurate. The manual & box show calculations that you will have to work out, such as: "cubic feet" of space to be heated (not square feet), type of room, how well the space is insulated, etc. My calculations show that this 18,000 BTU heater is actually quite a bit larger than what I need for my space, unfortunately. It'll be weeks before I can actually get this thing up and running. There's an added expense of about $400 to the cost of the heater for all the extra parts and labor need to install this heater properly, not counting the outside air vents that will also need to be installed.I'm pretty disappointed in this purchase, but I guess I'll just try to make it work. The venting thing is the biggest disappointment for me. If I have to put in several outside air vents in my walls, what's the point? Having to bring cold outside air in from outside defeats the whole purpose of a heater, which is to actually heat the space, not make it cold with outside air. Calling this a "Vent Free" heater is false advertising in my opinion.
