My God, so impressed with this little amplifier. Great tube tone., from this hybrid unit. I’ve coupled this to an 8” Vox 20w cab. This is very versatile. I would recommend this amp for any beginner and intermediate, even any pro guitar play as a great practice amp alternative. I have a Marshall Plexi and this sounds almost as nice over driven. So impressed.

This little amp is absolutely fantastic and sounded great. It’s crazy loud. Unfortunately I had to return it due to a faulty valve (tube). The quality of modern valves is patchy at best so I do not hold that against the amp or brand. In hindsight I should have just replaced it myself and kept the amp as it was really great. It’s fantastic value, looks great and the Bluetooth is so helpful. I am strongly considering buying another one.

This is a very good sounding amp and well made. nice and clean sound for jazz and blues,it also takes pedals very well and added bonus having an effects loop. Very loud if you wish and would probably be loud enough to do a small size venue,the bigger the speaker you use the more volume you will get. A very good amp for price. Dont forget you need a speaker to plug into. Great sellar and fast delivery.

It worked OK. I just found the sound not to my taste.

Bought this mini amp-head for its size, which is very practical and convenient to cart about, to say the least. With a pedal using FX loop, the sound is as good as any I’ve come across. I’m sure the bluetooth will benefit some, but as I’m recording straight to a DAW, I’ve no need to use it as yet. A little gem; I may get another.

Bought as a gift for my husband who is learning and he really likes it! It's high quality and for the price point, it's a brilliant piece of kit. Would absolutely recommend for a beginner to intermediate player.

This little amp sounds utterly amazing, it is the sound i have been after for decades. I ran it into two 16ohm 1 x 12" , 100w cabinets and the sound was immense and impressively loud for its diminutive size. Highly recommended and could be mic'd up through the PA far larger rooms

I bought this amp 3 years ago, used it for awhile, then put it away. Why , I don’t remember. Today I took it out of storage to see if I still liked it. Well I have to say I love it! Sounds great! Only problem was when I went to take it out of its box, the box fell apart and the amp hit the floor with a hard thud. I thought if the tube didn’t break or there isn’t any other damage I’ll be lucky. I’m happy to report that the amp is undamaged and works perfectly. Clean channel sounds very nice and clear sounding. The distortion channel with the gain set around 9:30 is crunchy yet still dynamic. I couldn’t really turn the volume past 8-9 o'clock in the house without being excessively loud through a 1x12 with a speaker rated at 80watts. Very Marshally sound. Is it exactly the same sound as a jcm 800? Probably not. Is it good enough for the price they’re asking? Heck yeah! Just don’t store it in the box it came in .Find something better! Pretty impressive little amp. I got tired of using my mesa boogie dual rectifier to practice at low volumes so I bought this. It is very similar to the real thing only not as loud. Still quite loud, but im not sure if its loud enough for a full metal band live. Much like the real thing, it responds best when you put a od pedal in front of it to tighten the low end and make it chug harder. The effects loop is a nice feature and it works great. The Bluetooth option is great for learning a song or playing along with one. Technology has come a long way since the 90s and this is a good example of that. Back in the day you'd have to buy a full-sized marshall valvestate to get a hybrid amp, but now all that and more is condensed into a light weight lunchbox sized head. Headphones work well with the cab Sim built in too. Mesa sells a lunch box dual rectifier but with this I dont know why you would spend 10 times the amount you pay for this. Just a killer amp!

I have owned a ridiculous number of amps, headphones, instruments, effects, and various audio devices over the years. The nicest sound has very often come from valve based systems and products. So I tried the Joyo Tweedy. I wanted a US/Fender-esque amp head, and this one had the right price meets features kind of ratio. The Tweedy was fine. It didn't blow me away, but it was cool, and I was on the fence about returning it. It didn't sell me on these bantamps in general. It was just another device that I tried. But on a whim, I tried the Blue Jay. Holy bananas, this thing is in different class, as far as my ears are concerned. It's sweet, clean, loads of headroom, nice and punchy-loud, and just a pleasure to listen to and play through. This one is staying. I think I might like this better than my PRS MT15. It's just so honey-dripped clean. At ~$150 it is an absolute must buy. And I had heard somewhere that this one was the least impressive of the bunch. I think whomever said that doesn't understand the luscious clean sound this amp can achieve. I don't even care about the drive channels in these bantamps, I'm using my own pedals anyways, and as a pedal platform this amp is legit af. My only complaint is that the Tweedy has a 1/4" headphone jack, and this Blue Jay has only 1/8". That's a minor quibble. So I guess technically it's 4.9/5 stars. If you're considering this Blue Jay and amp, I urge you to try it. I absolutely love the sound, this beaut is staying.
