Pro ASP.NET MVC 5

Excelente libro para quienes nos iniciamos en MVC directa sin tantos rodeos en las explicaciones, altamente recomendable

Me gusta por que aún estando en ingles es sencillo de comprender para personas como yo con nivel medio/bajo de ingles.En contra puedo verle que resulta lento y costoso. Aunque el autor indica que precisamente intenta que aprendamos mejor de forma pausada y explicando cada uno de los conceptos.Lo volvería a comprar.

So many books give an overview of a technology using wizards and templates that is sufficient only for creating demo apps. This book shows you how to structure MVC apps correctly from the very beginning, and shows you how the tools that you need to create real applications (dependency injection using Ninject, unit testing using the Visual Studio tools and mocking with Moq) fit with the MVC framework. You may prefer other tools in particular (such as Unity rather than Ninject), but that is not the point – it is how they fit together with ASP MVC that is the key concept.The book is well structured and very thorough tutorial. Some people may find the pace a little slow, but to my mind that is better than essential concepts being skimmed over. If you are hoping to learn how to knock up a quick and dirty web site then not only would this book not be appropriate but also you would probably be better off opting for a different web technology altogether. Dieses Buch ist einfach perfekt, um ASP.NET MVC zu lernen.Alles steht darin ausführlich beschrieben. Die einzelnen Kapitel - ja sogar die einzelnen Abschnitte in den Kapiteln bauen didaktisch aufeinander auf, verlangen aber nicht die Lektüre der jeweils vorhergehenden Kapitel.Der Lerninhalt ist zweigeteilt:* Im ersten Teil werden alle Themen - dediziert und sauber abgegrenzt - soweit konkret angesprochen, dass man das Gefühl erhält, man könnte nach der Lektüre des ersten Teils auf diesem Bereich gleich loslegen. Und sicher kann man es sogar danach.* Der zweite Teil rollt dann sämtliche Themen des ersten Teils noch einmal auf, behandelt aber nun jeden Bereich bis ins kleinste Detail.Das Schöne an diesem Konzept ist, dass man im zweiten Teil schon nicht mehr überwältigt ist von all den komplexen Informationen, die da auf den Leser einströmen. Man fühlt sich quasi schon vertraut mit den Themen und will sie nun "nur noch" vertiefen.Adam Freeman hat neben einer wundervollen Sprache auch eine sehr gute Didaktik, die das Erlernen des Stoffs zu einer wahren Freude macht.Ich habe das Buch vollständig durchgearbeitet. Habe vier Wochen meines Urlaubs daran gesessen und fühle mich nun durchweg gut informiert und einsatzbereit, was das Konzept, die Fähigkeiten, das Programmieren (= Anwenden) und die Grenzen von ASP.NET MVC angeht.Noch eine Bemerkung: Adam Freeman hat mehr als drei weitere Bücher dieses Formats im Jahre 2014 herausgebracht ( Pro ASP.NET MVC 5 Client , Pro ASP.NET MVC 5 Platform , Expert ASP.NET Web API 2 for MVC Developers by Freeman, Adam (2014) Paperback ). Unglaublich, was dieser Mann pro Jahr für einen Output an Büchern hat! Er verdient meinen größten Respekt, denn der Inhalt seiner Bücher ist sehr gut recherchiert. Finally after buying this book, I have completed this huge book :) from page to page. After reading this book I congratulate the author for giving this remarkable master piece. It has easy to understand language with examples guiding you to understand the topics. The book is split in two parts. For first 12-13 chapters it gives you a jump start on Asp.net MVC, bootstrap, Microsoft unobtrusive validation library and of-course unit testing. Later chapters describe each feature of Asp.net in depth. In the future I would be using it as a reference book.I would definitely recommend this book to people who are new to MVC, because of its well written structured approach.One thing I forgot to mention was: there are Identity (authentication and authorization) chapters that are given free of cost from the author which you can download from publisher's site. These chapters are not well written, I felt completely lost while reading them. There is problem with font size in these extra chapters as well, I found that to be small which increased cognitive load on eyes. But since these chapters are from different book I would still give 5 stars to this book.
