pcDuino (V2) is a high performance, cost effective mini PC platform that runs PC like OS such as Ubuntu and Android ICS. It outputs its screen to HDMI enabled TV or monitor via the built in HDMI interface. It is specially targeted for the fast growing demands from the open source community. The platform could run full blown PC like OS with easy to use tool chain and compatible with the popular Arduino ecosystem such as Arduino Shields and open source projects etc. pcDuino V2 has a built-in WiFi module and Arduino headers. Ubuntu images are same for both pcDuino and pcDuino V2. Ordered mine next day I was so excited.Per LinkSprite: "pcDuino team decided to free upgrade the NAND flash to 4GB in latest batch of production run. If you find that the NAND flash (which is on the back of pcDuino) is of model H27UBGxxx. Congratulation! You just got a pcDuino with 4GB flash."Per this product's page: "Onboard Storage: 2GB Flash (4GB after 02/01/2014), SD card slot for up to 32GB"So I'm stoked, check the chipset to begin utilizing all 4GBs (since it still only utilizes 2Gbs noob). Bam, H-2-7-U-A.... NOOOOOO A Whyyyyyy, ugh. Check all the other chips in vain for a "UBG" anywhere. I now paid $84 for something I now feel is worth less (or is it worthless?).I dunno, with electronics, we do research and it really is the little things. So I'm frustrated. Not gonna send it back because I don't actually have faith I can get a different one I guess.Otherwise, the thing is heady like a funrun of fresh pow pow, carving tognar on a fresh wax job.I got an LED to blink using python, having written Arduino code for about a year now, get at me.For fellow dorks here's a few answers:Switching the video output to 1080p is a simple menu setting.Wifi is most excellent.I (for lack of whatever) was like, "Oh shoot man, I forgot to buy a USB hub" I was considering a rasp pi, skipped it for lack of stuffs on board (still number one for computer vision though; skipped the Beaglebone black because this has wifi, a regular hdmi port that isn't a damn half mm from the usb jack. I digress...) but the Pi does have 2 USB ports, so I got all mixed up. This schwilly mcIll device let me plug my mac mouse into my mac keyboard into my PCduino. I know, right?Lastly, you can put arduino UNO shields on it cause the pinouts can map, sank u prees. The sexy big (stupid 2GB) chip in the center gets way hot, might heat sink that.tl;dr Ordered mine next day I was so excited, was disappointed to check out the chip set and discover mine was a 2GB model despite my order placed a few days ago. Needed an Imgur gif to display shock.

Advanced piece of tech!
PWM by software is a bad idea. The stochastic nature of threads make them non suitable for projects that require accurate timing signals. The video I posted driving an array of TowerPro MG995, was just the learned lesson for this.[July 5, 2014]I'm in love with my pcDuino. You can see it in action through any of the links below: Sunkee Tower Pro MG995 Metal Gear 13kg/55g High Speed & Torque Digi Servo with 2 Pcs servo horn Set (Long Arm , Sail Arm) or (if it hasn't yet been replaced by the (ALEBS) Amazon's Link to Ellipsis Background Service ;)http://www.amazon.com/product-reviews/B00D3ZXU2O/ref=acr_dpx_hist_3?ie=UTF8&filterBy=addThreeStar&showViewpoints=0Price is a higher compared to linksprite's offer, so you'd be more competitive by decreasing the price.[May 22, 2014]This little hi tech piece of hardware is really promising! I upgraded mine to 4 GB nand flash storage really easy. I just needed to move the rar package to Windows, unrar it there and then move it back to ubuntu. It worked as expected!I've never worked before with linux and now I feel really comfortable. I do know that I have a really long path to walk on but this is the perfect pain in the three letters for me..., I really love electronics and software.WiFi configuration was pretty straightforward and it works perfectly even staying at the tty after booting up.I'm now creating my own C++ programs and compiling them with g++ really easy. I now got access to the Arduino/pcDuino header pins so I'll start to plug in my stuff. I just needed to link the right libraries to get access to the hardware interface.Chromium web browser is really a memory starving app! I checked memory resources by using htop and I want to tell you that this is a little wicked process. It effectively kidnaps your pcDuino! I just needed to shutdown the wicked Chromium, then quit the light display manager to tty and then i got all my hardware back.Heavy GUI apps are not recommended! I tried eclipse indigo as well but it ended up by kidnapping my pcDuino as chromium did it. Now I'm working with gedit and emacs23 as IDEs for C++ and they work really well.

A little more than pi
It is a little more than a raspberry pi, I like that the arduino, Linux, and wifi are built in. But they didn't mention that you need an $11.99 T-Board bridge to use Arduino shields. Most Arduino Shields operate on 5 volts. Raspberry Pi and PCduino operate on 3 volts. YOU WILL NEED THE T-BOARD BRIDGE!!
