Puts feminism back 100 years
My daughter is excited about Barbie’s move into the world of science and other 21st century pursuits. She remains excited, because as the proud owner of the Barbie STEM kit she can:- dye some dresses!- build a shoe rack!- play with her new Barbie accessory holder!- save the best until last: make her own Barbie washing machine!Huge missed opportunity to inspire an 8 year old. Instead, this feels like it was designed by Mike Pence.I’m going to read all 200 Rebel Girl stories to her tonight in the hope I can pull her back out of the 1950s before it’s too late.

Not really STEM projects
Barbie makes a washing machine, shoe rack, and spinning wardrobe. Just seems like the developers of this could have been a bit more creative. Like build a rocket ship or a telescope or pretty much anything that doesn't make Barbie seem like stereotypical 50s housewife. That being said, my 6 year old niece likes it.

Could use more pieces.
A bit disappointing that you can’t actually build everything in the box or do all the activities because many of the projects have supplies that overlap. So you have to dismantle/pick-n-choose projects. But other than that. It was a fun activity to do with my kid. Getting her to learn better to follow instructions and take things one step at a time has been so far the most valuable lesson taken from this (as she is below recommended age). It was a lot of fun to build the closet in particular because of its size and complexity it made for a great team build. And that was great.

Got lots of time? If not, don't order!
The Barbie is fine as Barbies go except that for a "scientist" her high heels were rather unbelievable as lab attire. The lab assembly is a nightmare. It's all punch-out parts from a thin plastic sheet. You will not set this up quickly. In fact, maybe a week of nothing else to do would provide enough time. No, I would not recommend this particular Barbie set to anyone.

Not Impressed!
While my 8 year old daughter really likes the Barbie, that's about it. She is frustrated by the lack of detailed instructions that she is used to with her other building sets. Save your money and buy something else!

Hard to build and falls down a lot
I loved this idea for my daughter since she likes science and Barbie but the whole construction was difficult and pieces keep falling off. It also isn’t very stable and falls over at slightest touch.

Misleading
We were under the impression that you could make all of the different toys/creations that are shown on the outside of the box. However, you can only make one thing at a time because all of the activities use the same parts and there are not duplicate parts. The quality also wasn't as good as we expected.

Not a STEM gift
Disappointed. Should've read the descriptions better, but other than barbie being in a lab coat that doesn't button to safely close, the sets have nothing to do with stem. Sexist, stereotypical women's chores.
