71mm Tripod Collar Mount Ring 1/4" for Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 II EX DG Macro HSM Lens

As luck would have it - this tripod lens collar is a close fit to the rear-end diameter (67.5mm) of the new Sigma 17-40mm F 1.8 lens for Canon R7 cameras. Putting 3 cork shims (1.75mm thick) on the inner surface of the collar protects the metal lens tube when tightening the hinged collar. End result is a customized fit, which looks like it was specifically designed for the 17-40mm F 1.8 lens.

I bought this to replace the tripod collar that came with the earlier version of the Sigma 70-210 f1:2.8 APO lens, this one is listed for the 70-210 f1:2.8 II lens. The mounting part of my lens barrel measures at 71.6mm dia and the collar ID ~71 mm. There is enough squish in the foam tape the collar tightenes but not completely. The three ridges on the collar line up with the index marks on the lens barrel so that works. I might look into replacing the foam tape with something thinner in the future.

Fit great just what I needed

bought this for my Sigma 400mm F/5.6 tele macro this is a perfect fit and gives a better standoff than the sigma ts-21 tripod mount allowing the foot to be more useful as a handle! though, for the purpose of carrying it could be more ergonomic on the top of the foot like the ts-41! either way great quality tripod collar/ foot for the money!

If you saw the review I did about it being good at "being handy" it is not. It holds it too loss and falls out easy. Not the products fault since it's not meant for that so I leave 5 stars. It kinda holds it if you put a paper towel in between as a wedge but i recommend a smaller sized one. I got a 65mm and it's too small but I managed to barely get it to close so it works but just barely.

Ich habe es für die Cine-Version des Samyang 135mm gekauft. Es passt perfekt zwischen Blenden- und Fokusring, wenn man wie schon von Michael beschrieben den Filz löst und mit einem (in diesem Fall ziemlich dicken) doppelseitigen Klebeband wieder aufklebt. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn das etwas einfacher ginge. Andere Hersteller legen dazu unterschiedlich dicke Gummiringe bei. Bei diesem Objektiv werden die Markierungen zum Einstellen der Blende und des Schärfebereichs verdeckt, aber das stört mich nicht. Und es gibt am Fuß eine Arca-Klemme, was sehr gut ist. Das Foto sollte mal aktualisiert werden.

Has a reassuringly solid feel, and comes at a reasonable price, but I mostly wanted to note that it fits my quite old version of the sigma 70-200.. This is a Nikon fit mk1 Sigma 70-200mm f2.8D EX APO HSM - has an aperture ring, and has no "DG" as far as I can tell - from about 1999. It seems to have the same diameter collar ring as the newer versions, at 71mm - at any rate this collar fit perfectly. I was relieved!

It is enough to use for your lens but it loos the comparative with the old version for same lens clip.

Fatto bene di materiale eccellente, si adatta perfettamente all’ottica in questo caso un sigma 150mm. Comodissimo il fatto che la base sia già. On attacco arca Swiss, per chi non usa questo attacco è possibile avvitarci ogni tipo di piastra
