Icelandic: 1000 Most Used Words: Speak Icelandic, Fast Language Learning, Beginners, (Norwegian, Swedish, Danish)

I like learning new languages and recently I got interested in Icelandic. I am really glad that I found this book because I had great fun learning new words and pronouncing them. This is great book if you like to learn Icelandic very fast or if you are traveling to this amazing country you can use the book as a guide for better and easier communication. I definitely recommend this book!

This book is terrible. It is a list of words, placed in no apparent order and completely without context. No pronunciation at all. Several words are repeated. (I get that there may be more than one way to translate a word; I'm talking specifically about the same word with the same translation repeated again several pages later.) Several words aren't even translated at all. For example, do you want to know what "à" means? According to this book, it means "à" in English. And "aò" means "AO"? What am I supposed to do with this, really?I have no idea who this was designed for or how they intended this to be used but as far as I can tell it is essentially worthless. Wish I had my $3 back.

There was no pronunciation guide so it is not very useful to me.

Good Book

I was very disappointed to find that none of the words are in any kind of alphabetical or logical order, so you can't actually look any words up.Just random words with English translation. No indication how to pronounce these words either!Every so often they have translated a letter in the form of: a.............a, e.............e or h.................h etc.Then just random words with no actual translation like: joe...........joe, komi..........komi, ben..........ben, kki...........kki, vi............vi etc.After all that I can't trust that any of the translations are even correct! Like what am i supposed to make out of: viõ.....Vio, meo.......Meo, david........david ??So basically they have come up with a load of nonsense to fill in the pages just to make some easy money!Really looks to me that I will get better view of the language with Google Translate! Complete waste of money! Wouldn't want to have it thrown at me! Also paper quality so poor that can't even start a fire with it!
