Love!
Cooking with this pan is a dream. I've even used it over a camp fire several times now, where the heat distribution feature really shines. The pan sits at the side, just 1/2 over flames and embers, and still, everything was evenly cooked with only a few stirrings needed, and clean-up was a breeze. The lighter weight of this pan is a big plus for me. I have a tiny wrist (people have laughed at it; it's THAT tiny) but have no trouble getting this pan safely off the fire using just one hand. That's with a heavy glass lid on top and the pan 3/4 full. After having retired a couple of ceramic non-stick pans in the past year, I find that this cast iron pan delivers far superior results and is made to last for a lifetime. I won't go back to non-stick, no matter how tough and safe it's marketed to be, they all fail after a while and likely have a long list of chemicals in them, that have never even been (sufficiently) tested for health risks. And last but not least, I also want to mention that the pan arrived with a lovely handwritten note. It adds a nice touch and probably even some flavor as I treasure this pan and all that goes into it.

An Upgrade Worth the Money
Very happy with this pan so far. It heats up faster and more evenly than my Lodge pans. It's much lighter than any cast iron I've used. The cooking surface is incredibly smooth. I've cooked steak, fish (no torn salmon skin!), veggies, and even eggs without any sticking woes. Some people have had issues seasoning the pan, but I've put a few layers of seasoning on it with no problems. If anything, I've found it easier to season than other pans. The factory seasoning came up way too easy (a steak pretty much stripped it down to metal), but the seasoning I put down myself is holding at least as well as it does on my Lodge.Overall, this pan is worth the extra money.

Pre-seasoned and light
We received it today it, didn’t get a chance to use it yet but it looks like a great skillet. It’s pre-seasoned and light.

The very best cast iron skillet I've ever used
This is by far the best cast iron skillet available in my experience. I've used Lodge, Field, and Marquette Castings (oh, and a Finex I borrowed from a friend one time). This skillet is the absolute best of the bunch. It is the lightest, best design, non-stick right out of the box and performs the best. It has a wonderful factory seasoning and the best handle design in my opinion. It also cleans up the easiest of the group for me.If I could give it ten stars I would! Wish I'd purchased this skillet first.

Eggs don't stick!
First time, 6 scrambled eggs with cheese and did not stick! A little bit here and there but nothing to cry about and cleans right up. Beautiful and lightweight perfection. I have an heirloom Wagner that this Lancaster supersedes. I love the taller sides which are straighter leaving you with more cooking room in the pan. So happy I have finally found my new "egg" pan to replace my possibly toxic enamel pan. I use it for everything and don't want to use anything else now ;)

A great 10.5 in skillet.
This pan is great. Perfectly smooth and the has improved with each use. A little pricey, but definitely worth it as this pan will be the workhorse of my kitchen as it will be for my children in the future. Love it!

Doesn’t Season Well
1 Star at best. This is a beautiful skillet which I have had for just over a year. It is lightweight and silky smooth cooking surface. The problem is that it won’t hold seasoning. I cook exclusively in cast iron, and have done so for over 40 years so I know how to season cast iron. This pan just won’t hold the seasoning, so I gave it to the Good Will Store. A very costly mistake in this purchase.
