Clearance to crossmember
The quality is real good. Bolt holes lined up good. Only issue that i came across is the front portion of the pan did not clear the cross member as the previous one did. Maybe for a truck? (i have a 1969 Chevelle). We made some modifications and was able to raise the engine to gain some clearance. All in All, it was a good buy. Just do your homework on your block (IE; seals, gaskets and dipstick)Happy Motoring! :)

Doesn't fit blocks earlier than 1974.
This is actually for the 1974 to 1979 Small Block Chevy. The front seal is about 1/4" deeper on this pan than on my 1969 350. So I had to sandblast and paint my old one. Still have this one in the box. It might have fit with the later timing cover, but I already had a new timing cover with the roller tappet cam bearing surface.

Perfect fit, placed on my 327 with felpro os345110T gasket and couldn't be any happier. Cautioning user, tighten drain plug before installing I had a panic when I saw the drip, but realized my oversight and everything went very well.

The pan was warped and the crankshaft hit the side. I had to put a dimple in the side so the crank would clear. Made it hard to tighten the pan bolt next to the dimple.
