Far from "Game over man"
Best £20 i have spent in a long while! Really enjoyed this game for what it is, "a wave shooter". My friend and I teamed up with 1 AI bot and thouroughly had a blast playing through. My 2 downers on this is for PS5 game the AI has no facial expressions or talk, just text on a screen. My other downer is the AI bots are just too greedy for kills so when attempting a challenge card playing solo I found i was competing to get a shot off first. Otherwise a great game, well worth £20 and look forward to future expansions or what next this studio does...especially if its Aliens 2!

Nice, compact solid 3rd person shooter.
Nice solid gameplay, nice aesthetics, great look and excellent sound design. Definitely a must if you're a fan of the series. However, as fun as the game is, it's short. With a quartly roadmap planned for future content, this title may still not have enough content to keep you interested long. The game offers daily and weekly challenges which I always hope on daily to complete. I do tend to find myself grinding the same missions. However, this is because there is plenty of weapons to level up and customise. There is also a 'Horde mode' which can be a nice challenge. Yet completable even with AI team mates.I went in with low expectations and must admit I'm pleasantly surprised how solid this game is. The game is also a 3 player game so it's a lot more fun when you have friends to play with online. I dont tend to struggle finding other players online on the 'quick play'option but you can find yourself searching for players a couple of times a session. All in all, the game is solid and worth a pick up for 20 quid max. I would have actually given it 5 stars, only if it had a bit more content.

Alien Fan's Arcade Dream
Obviously it's all very subjective but I put off buying this for quite a while because of the negative reviews and online focus of the game. As an Alien franchise fan (the good ones anyhow) I bloody love this game. Alien Isolation was a beautiful homage to the original film and Fireteam is an awesome realisation of the Colonial Marines that we met in the sequel. If you want to tool up like a bad-ass and get some and don't mind a few glitches and cheaper elements in the production then you can have some real fun. Even offline. For me, the nostalgia and gameplay heavily outweighed any negative aspects. Let's roooooock!!! Pew pew pew pew

Great! But half baked!
Firstly Alien fire team does create and capture the world in which it belongs. And also ventures into places which relate to the film prometheus.I won’t spoil the story. Although If interested I believe it either continues or is a prelude to the game in a book called ‘aliens infiltrator.’ (I’ve not read it)So the basic premise is that you take control of a marine, which is also choose-able by class, which in game actually gives different play styles. And also makes each character for a level important. (I stress a medic is a constant need!)It also team based meaning you are in a squad of 3. Either two online companions or ‘bots’.I brought the game on the idea of it having a similar play style to team based games like left for dead etc. Which it does achieve but obviously in the alien world. The game itself can be quite frustrating, from the little to no tutorial meaning that you have to figure the game out for yourself. With no real emphasis on character class which is a shame as each class really does make a difference to your team. And more importantly your success rate of a level. Which if all players are downed is a fail. (Or if each player has been revived 4 times means a fail also)The game can also be played with ‘bots’Although they can be either helpful or non existent depending on a situation. Which can lead to some frustration.Which is the problem, I do enjoy the game. But it must be played with real people or friends due to the games odd difficulty spike, meaning anyone who wants to platinum/100% the game will need to be fairly dedicated.Currently the price is justifiable, (£25.00) but I wouldn’t suggest paying full price.

Great for Alien fans.
This really takes you back to watching the films for the first time. The music. The motion sensor blips.Unfortunately the graphics aren’t brilliant and it goes wrong quite a bit.But more importantly mine (which has since been returned to Amazon) couldn’t be paused. No one else has mentioned that so far. I pressed the usual pause button and the stats screen comes up but the game carry’s on in the background so after 10 seconds I’m dead. It’s not possible to play a game that you can’t pause.

Let’s rock!!!!!
honestly if you’re a fan of the franchise this game is the best to date! with parts from all across the alien universe this games attention to detail is amazing. You get to face off against multiple alien attacks as a trio of marines on a mission. play alone or online and customise your own character with various items through the game with points earned to finally face off the queen in the hive.
