Disappointed in some repetition, but storyline pretty much rolling strong
Overall the story is carrying on with action, twists, and more secrets revealed. The side characters are still fantastic, like Ash, Kek, Miss Kitty, Opie & Bitsy, even the Fae book, and then some new characters were quite fun. The world is still gritty and dark, with each new addition opening up the world a bit more. The Bone Church was an interesting addition. However, the storyline had repetitive elements. A couple of which were the 7 mentions of bile coating her mouth or stomach, or 9+ mentions of her wanting to vomit/ stomach burning/nauseated in response to things happening. A couple warranted, yes. But it seems it's Brexley's, forgive the pun, gut reaction to almost everything.I understand Warrick is a savage and there's hate sex, but to cut, bite, stab, kick each other, and fist fight? Totally destroy the room, ok, but not each other. The detailed brutal seggsy scenes were a bit much for my tastes, I'm a bit vanilla next to others, lol. I get that they are "savage" and get high off fighting and pain, but didn't need multiple scenes like that. Don't get me wrong, Brex is written to enjoy it, but I'm not a fan. The flip side of that? The metaphysical parts of them doing extra things to each other was interesting. I'm conflicted to read the next ones because there is only so much of the detailed hate sex before its too much for me. May be just me. I would think by this point they'd be getting past all the hate each other stuff. Really hoping that's not going to continue through the next books. But I would like to know where this next step takes them, especially with the revealation at the end.So, at this point I'm debating whether I want to continue on.

Warwick Saves Brexley With A Bomb: Book 3 (An Honest Review)
I read and somewhat enjoyed the first two books, so I was hopeful that book 3 introduced some new ideas, new scenarios, and perhaps, some vulnerability between the two main characters (Brex and Warwick). Here's what I will say without spoilers: If you're looking for a steamy, easy read in a unique world, this is a good book for you.If you're looking for multi-dimensional characters that grow from book to book, new fights, or unique situations, then I don't think that this is the right book for you. Here's why (again, I'll work to avoid major spoilers).Warwick and Brexley finally connect without their link, and it was exactly what I expected of them, but it remained that way. It was violent, they are CONSTANTLY mad at each other, and they rarely work together in a cohesive manner. Moreover, they are absolutely incapable of communicating with one another and talking about their feelings.I'm okay with an enemies-to-lovers storyline. But these two feel more like enemies who bang more than anything else to me. To me, in this book, Warwick became more like a two-dimensional guard dog always saving Brexley from a dumb decision or a bad situation, rather than a man who was thrust into a very scary position by what happened when he came back to life.Brexley became untouchable, in many ways. I found myself hoping she got shot, because it's the only time you can take a breath and she's forced to actually listen instead of ordering everyone around (even commanders). The only times she feels vulnerable are when she's hurt to the point of incapacitation, and I wish that that wasn't the case. There were a few times it mentioned that she had tears burning the backs of her eyes, but that was about the extent of her vulnerability.I also got tired of the fighting-to-sex motif. It's the same as how Warwick always saves Brexley when she's in a bind with a bomb explosion. It got old. Brexley, in this book, talks about how sick she is of people being drawn to her. I'll be honest, as a reader, I'm sick of it too. Literally everyone with a P (outside of her family) wants to bed her.Warwick does, eventually, talk a bit about his back story, but it feels too little too late considering you have to get to the end of book 3 to even get to that point, and then, you don't really feel like things will now be better between them. It's jealousy-filled fighting while Brexley flirts from one guy to the next while expecting better from Warwick. (As an aside, that is something that bothered me throughout this entire series. She just kisses anyone. Killian. Zander. Caden. Warwick. A couple new ones in this book that I won't spoil. She's like a leaf in the wind, with no real putting her foot down, staking her claim, or anything like it. I get she's a something-other-than-human that is under the influence of fae energies, but come on, girl. You gotta at least know you don't want some of these guys, and it doesn't seem like this is going or a RH (reverse harem) storyline considering Warwick can't stand it, so I don't know why she's so flakey).Lastly, I wish that she listened more as a whole. I'm certain she would learn from the commanders she interfaces with (no spoilers) and from other people who have been real soldiers in the field versus her training and time in Halalhaz. She's 20 in this book. And while she's *special*, you have to think there's some real world experience she's missing and that she could benefit from working with people instead of ordering them around. All of these things just stacked up with very little resolution for me. While I might read the fourth book if I was bored, just with the hope that the author corrects some of these things, I don't feel excited to see where the rest of this will go. I'm bored with it, and I'm tired of the same escapes and the same sex without any romance. I would absolutely label this book as erotic suspense, not dark romance. There really is no romance to speak of at this point, imho.A final note: From an LGBTQIA+ perspective, while there's a female demon that likes Brexley, and a siren that teases Brexley, it seems like most women are impervious to her allure. Not the most queer-friendly storyline (ignoring the fact that it's not a queer-friendly world). I'm not sure if this is an author limitation or a world limitation, but I would think that if fae feed off of sexual experience and things like that, it would seem like there would be a lot more pansexuality in the world than what's actually written. Queerness is in the shadows or not spoken about at all.The book is definitely not sex worker-friendly either. Brexley judges sex workers and demeans them (because Warwick baits her to and then criticizes her for doing it because his mom was a sex worker). Some of the prejudices that Brexley has feel unnecessary to the storyline but are justified because she was raised in HDF. As a reader, I don't think growing up in the HDF means you don't realize that sometimes people do what they have to (or what they enjoy doing) to make ends meet. It's too bad too because I'm far more interested in Kitty's story than I am about Brexley's at this point.

Somewhat tired of the formula and the non-disclosure as to how many books will be in the series
Headline says it all. If you’ve read other books by this author, then you’ll find the formula is the same, even down to the quirky sidekicks. Would like to know in advance that I’m reading a 5 book series, as the books are not really that memorable between releases and you have no choice but to reread to remind yourself what happened before. Plus I probably would have dropped them at the first book once I realised I was just reading more of the same in 5 volumes. The writer is capable and gifted in story telling, but I wish she would challenge herself and not keep serving up the same story arch again and again. Won’t be reading any more.

Epic book
Omg Dead Lands was amazing!!! Warwick has ruined all other men for me!! The man is just on fire…. I mean Kovacs has ruined all other men for me! And she’s a woman!! Together they would give lava!! No they’d give hells fire it’s self a running for hotness… the story is so full now my adrenaline in off the chart!! The action is phenomenal and fight scenes are so well written I fell like I’m in the war zone.. My poor heart!! Omg my poor heart is so taken in by the smallest of characters that I’m completely invested in every single ones life!!. Iv literally coupled them up and married them off.. how do we get a killing ban!! They can’t die EVER!!!… I truly love this series and this book was epic and my favourite so far… if you haven’t read them get one it!!

Little story or character development. Not the end of the series.
I really enjoyed the first two books so I was excited to read this one, but what a disappointment. The story line doesn't really move on at all: Brexley and Warwick go backwards and forwards between the rebel groups and skirmish with the HDF and...ummm... yep that's about it. I could tell you in about 2 minutes the additional information I've learned about them or the world they inhabit. None of the characters or their relationships really develop at all. Even Brexley and Warwick are just stuck in their love/hate rut. In fact, a lot of the key characters from the first two books are barely even mentioned in this one.I thought this was going to be the exciting finale in a trilogy so perhaps my expectations were out of line. However, I happily read multiple-book series as long as the story and characters move on in each book. Sadly this whole book just felt like a long, drawn out prologue for the next book (or books) in the series rather than a story in its own right. I am normally a stay up until 4am binge reader, but I was so unengaged with this that I went to bed with my kindle telling me I had 20 minutes left in the book. I don't think I'll bother reading any more of this series.

3.5* stars.. a tad disappointing.
Firstly, let me start by stating how much i loved both Savage & Wild lands.. but I found Dead lands a bit disappointing. The storyline itself didn't progress much from the second book and compared to the first 2, dead lands is a much slower paced story. It starts well but in the middle chapters I started to wonder where it was going as there was a lot thrown in haphazardly and to finally come alive in the last few chapters, which could have happened earlier imo. Personally, I also found that there were few statements which were repetitive even if trying to make a point. On the other hand, the spiciness and smut in this book are definitely off the charts, brex and Warrick finally sets the sheets on fire and create chaos and wreckage. The bond between them is raw and primal and omg so hot! The author definitely upped the heat in this one after all that tension, she did do them justice. The author is amazing and I will definitely get the next book as I am invested in Brex and Warrick. they are still 2 very intriguing characters as well as Killian and I want to know if Ash and Luk will get together.

Amazing
This series just gets better and better. This book was action packed with twists and turns at every which way. I loved the continued mystery around what brexley was. Where do I start with Brex and Warwick, Jesus the heat between these two is off the charts and I love that in this book we finally see what that heat does when these two come together. Argh the ending to This book!! So darn good and left me desperate for the next book. Brexley finally finds out the truth about who her mother was and who and what she really is.
