Absolutely incredible value proposition!
I never thought I needed a stereo lav until I used this. No, it doesn't have any pronounced "stereo effect" - i.e. the sound stage isn't that wide and obviously it doesn't work like a binaural mic. Why I think it's so brilliant is because of redundancy. You see, it's far more convenient than using 2 mics and since each mic covers about 180° and because they face opposite directions, they offer excellent redundancy still. While you could use different gain for each channel - given you have an appropriate recorder - so as to prevent clipping and increase dynamic range, I just prefer the convenience of, well, not doing that. Even 24bit recorders have more than enough dynamic range for the vast majority of scenarios. The reason I love it so much is because I've found that usually one mic picks up the wind noise far less simply because it faces the opposite direction of the wind.As for the sound quality, it's amazing. I honestly don't see why one might NEED a more expensive lav for anything but high(er) end movies.

It is good but
It is a good product. A little bigger than you would expect from what's shown on the website and media material. And if you attach its windscreen, it is a visibly bulky thing on your talent. But that is okay.Performance is really good in a controlled environment and acoustically treated space. It sounds flat. It is not a good idea to take it outside like streets and noisy environment. Because it has a two-side capsule thing, it picks up a lot of ambient sounds and unwanted noises. The windscreen performance is okayish so it will catch the ruffling sounds of the wind.Given the price point, it is a value for money mic. As of now, I am using it on my Samsung S21 with its adapter USB C to 3.5 mm female + Rode SC4 TRS to TRRS adaptor. Because this mic has a TRS pin. There is a caveat to using this mic on your android phone. You have to follow the steps given below,Before starting this process close all the apps. If any app is open and is using your phonemic then your phone won't accept an external mic.1. Attach the USB C (white colour cable) adapter to the phone.2. Plug in the TRRS pin (the grey thing) in the female socket (white colour).3. Plug in your mic's TRS male pin to the female socket (black colour). It should work and when you press the record button to record your video it will flash that an external mic is being used to record the audio.I use the Zoom H5 recorder and plug in this mic and a lineout to my camera. Plugging in this mic directly into your camera gives an okayish performance. The preamps of most of the cameras are terrible. My takeGood quality and value for money option for beginners and advanced users like vloggers, and interviewers. Far better than the Boya and alike.Don't have many expectations that it will isolate your sound and it won't catch any background noise. It will sound better and tight if you use it in an acoustically treated space.

Working with DSLR but not with Samsung M51
The media could not be loaded. Hi,I am a musician and I play Sarod which is a very difficult instrument to record. But I found this Sony Lavalier Microphone delivering exact acoustics of my Sarod, covering almost all high and low to mid frequencies. But the problem is its working perfectly on my Canon DSLR but it's not working with my Samsung M51 android.I have tried the C type USB to TRRS female converter but nothing seems to be working.I need smartphone compatibility for online classes and live online concerts, can anybody suggest anything ?The Microphone recording quality is great 👍
