DOES NOT run 2 monitors on M1 Macbook Air
Will only run 1 external monitor on my 2020 M1 MacBook Air. I bought this to run 2 external monitors but it will only run 1 external monitor on the newer macbook air. Also, the item I received was in an opened box and there was no documentation or instructions included. I returned it.

Works great!
Don't waste your time hobbling together other adapters. This is a plug and play solution to extending monitors and other peripherals from your pre-M1 Apple laptop. It is a sleek looking unit, with plenty of additional USB ports. Currently running 2- 21" monitors and a Logi webcam enabling my laptop to be used as a desktop. Quality product worth the expense.

Quality port dock
This is my 2nd hyperdrive usb c dock. Wow, superb and improved HDMI quality. Works so well and the functionality of using only one USB-c port option is great when I lend it to a colleague with a older mac that just has one port.

Macbook Air 2020 M1 - only 1 HDMI port works at 4k/30Hz not 60Hz as advertised
Bought this for my macbook air 2020 (M1) to power my 2 monitors @ 4K/60Hz. Will only run one monitor at 4k/30Hz.Disappointed. Will be returning this item.

Good dock but unsure of longevity.
I like the dock. It looks good. It's plastic when I was hoping for an aluminum casing but oh well. The one thing that concerns me is that it gets pretty hot. The heat makes me question how long it will last but so far it's worked like a charm.
