Why such unfairness with Superman
Why DC always does unfair things with Superman I do not know ! These issues should have been collected & release as oversized hardcover. Every DC heroes got oversized hardcover except 90's superman. Every DC fans grow up with Trinity, 90's Batman & Wonder Woman got it but not Superman. Whatever, exteamly well packaged by seller, thank you so much. These issues are gem, simple but effective. Thank you for bringing back my 90's. Please bring back Vol.4, it's out of stock.

SUPERMANS BEST ERA
Ah the eighties when comics were available everywhere. If you are reading this run for the first time you might find some stories not up to the mark but rest assured when the back up issues of Adventures of Superman by Jerry Ordway and Action Comics by Byrne himself kick in it will be a worthwhile purchase. The book starts with 6 issues Man Of Steel miniseries basically revitalising Superman for the young generation. He does a splendid job as you will find out. Byrne’s stories may seem very simple but as you read them you will find layers in them.John Byrne draws a very handsome. superman and you will find the who’s who of DC universe guest starring in Action Comics even Superboy!!You will find the collection amazing with good binding and colours. This collection was to be completed in Omnibus form but DC backed out at the last moment and instead put out 4 books in nearly 500 pages each. After the miniseries the regular issues start with superman number one where he faces metallo. The best aspect of Byrne’s run is he humanised him. Gone were the days when Superman could lift planets. Now most issues had him pairing up with someone hence the guest appearance. This run shows us that superman also needs to unwind and relax and that he can’t be everywhere at once. This run starting from 1987 to nearly 2000 is the best run of all. I hope DC collects them. After reading the 4 book Byrne run follow it up with Superman Exile Omnibus. That is a very serious run and shows why we call him superman. The art in that omnibus is excellent especially George Perez’s work.I would request to DC to either release further issues in Omnibus or Compendium format particularly the TRIANGLE YEARS where superman was being printed on a weekly basis and number was started by 1 and ended with 52 including the annuals. Please think about it.Hope you have a great time.

Value for Money
I was looking for 70s to 90s superman stories with which I grew up with. They had amazing and bright graphics, clear cut panels and advanced storyline. Post 2000, current drawings and story panel are too dark, confusing and not much fun to read. 40s to 60s Superman stories are too tame and cartoon graphics are line Tinkle. Worth Buying.

Superman: The Man of Steel by Byrne/Ordway/Wolfman et al
Two solid hardcovers covering a major chunk of post-Crisis, 80s Superman that are essentially the tone-setters as well as stalwarts for the definitive modern Superman stories across the Man of Steel miniseries, Superman, Action Comics and the Adventures of Superman. Yup, Supes has that many books dedicated to him concurrently. Legendary, classic and eternal.
