DUST COMMANDER DUST-SP Anti-Crushing Valve for Plastic Barrel / Cyclonic Filter

Awesome bit of kit, used it on a barrel to make a homemade dust collector system and to stop it exploding if the hose ever gets clogged up. Works brilliant and seems like it will last for a while as the parts despite being plastic are good quality. Really cheap too considering the cost of me replacing the barrel and parts. The instructions to get everything fitted is an ingenious idea by turning the box for the product into the instructions when you unfold it see video for this

This works as it should. Cant say fairer than that.

Fitted this to my powerful vacuum dust extraction cylinder to prevent any blockage in my dust vac system collapsing the cylinder or collapsing vacuum pipes. Yesterday a hose got totally blocked by a piece of wood and sawdust. All I heard was a suction noise from this device sucking air into the vacuum cylinder to prevent any damage. I removed the blockage and all ready to go again. My advice would be to set the adjuster to kick in at as lower cut in level as possible prevent damage to any lighter vacuum hoses you may use. In summary: Easy to fit with simple instructions provided and well worth the money in my case so a very good investment. Highly recommended.

Great little device. It is small enough not to get in the way and does what it is supposed to do. It has stopped the crushing of my barrel that I have as a dust collector for my mitre saw. My shop vac is a little bit too powerful for my mitre saw. Great buy

Excellent work perfectly. Whish I had bought these years ago when I set up the cyclone collectors

It works as advertised but the gap that opens is not letting in enough air to stop the vacuum trying to crush my plastic bucket. I may need to buy another.

Para los que nos hemos llevado el chasco de montar un separador ciclónico y hemos visto con sorpresa como el cubo se aplasta en la primera aspiración. La única dificultad del montaje es conseguir el agujero al milímetro. Yo lo hice con una multiherramienta tipo "Dremel" sin problemas. Se puede regular para no perder poder de succión, pero la verdad es que con mi aspirador Karcher no se aprecia la diferencia. Es un poco caro para el artículo que es, pero funciona correctamente. Sorprende el tamaño tan pequeño, pero... ¿para qué más? Recomiendo su compra pese a todo.

Surprised at small size. But it works fine. Needs 28mm hole and that's it.
