Great Quality. Just as described! No need for an overpriced Pelican.
Throughout my many years of military service I was privy to using a wide variety of Pelican cases. Although, I never had to pay for one, I was aware of their expensive price points. Comparing this Condition 1 to the Pelican brand, I must admit, I am very impressed. For this particular model, it includes three layers of customizable foam. Each layer is approximately 1.5 inches thick. Each layer is made up of small removable squares (measuring .5 inch X .5 inch X 1.5 inches). Beyond the three customizable layers of phone sets one solid phone piece attached to the bottom of the case and another attached on the inside of the lid. The case also features for locking levers (with various external holes to secure with locks) and one decompression valve. In my pictures you'll see I was able to fit my DJI Ronin SC gimbal with its accessories, perfectly in this case. Granted, being I made no cuts and Strictly remove the foam squares to the shapes sizes and depths necessary, Some parts of my equipment don't fall perfectly snug into place. If you're somewhat of a perfectionist asylum, and depending on the amount of equipment's shape and depth complexity, You may want to clear up a few hours of your schedule to get your things set up just right. The case by no means feels cheap nor does it look it. This particular case it's much cheaper in price than one of very similar size from the Pelican brand and doesn't sacrifice quality. I would consider this case perfect if the customizable foam squares were smaller in thickness, not the 1.5 inches they currently are. If they were thinner it would allow for much more precise customization. Besides that, there isn't much difference between those two cases. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND getting this case! Best of luck on your purchase!

Watch out Pelican
First of all let me preface by saying that I have multiple hard cases from the “major” brands such as Pelican and Hurricane ranging from fire-arms to search and rescue equipment. I’m military, and we abuse hard cases like it’s going out of style. That being said, I have come to view some things as over priced when cases break over minimal stress, clearly because it has a certain tag on it in this other facet of the “tactic-cool” market. This case is well built, has firm locking mechanisms, no lid shift / tilt, and the foam isn’t bad. The very outer two layers of the foam that band the cubes are a little loose, but given the price it’s becomes a moot point. I submerged tested the case right when I got it, no leaks. I recently got into digital music making, but I thought the soft case that was offered by the brand who built my synthesizer was way to steep given that it offered no hard case protection. For the same price, I got this hard case. And I LOVE the red color. I have so many hard cases that are black or coyote tan; it just gets old when you’ve been in the military for a minute. Being able to get a “fun” color without being up-charged was nice. How many times have you wanted that cool piece of gear only to get it in “OD” or “Coyote Tan” instead of black made it more expensive? I also want to point out that this brand has a ton of sizes, and my synthesizer has a very oblong slope to it, making any generic music case not being able to work. I don’t plan on lugging this on a combat rotation, but for the price point vs durability it’s perfect for keeping safe the things that you value.

Great Budget alternative to like a Pelican
Bought for a in-vehicle storage kit, like batteries, cables, rope, flares, tool, etc. Holds well. Obviously not as ruggedized as one of the more expensive cases, but for the price, it's great. Pluck foam comes in 3 layers. Make sure to keep the layers in order as the layers in/decrease in size. Four locks help keep the case closed securely. Has an automatic pressure equalizing valve. Should be waterproof but have not tested. Seems to be able to withstand a decent amount of trauma, although I would keep the applications to medium-duty. Total rigidity seems on the medium spectrum, as when opened, the top lid does flex. Overall, do recommend. Great value for the price and quality.

Very well made hard case
Perfect, just what I wanted, I did need to glue ( gorilla glue works great ) the pluckable foam inserts together as some of my items were too heavy and would push down on the foam when carrying it. Very happy with the purchase.

Good case. The long term rigidity of the pick and pull foam may be a concern, but for now, it's solid.
This is used to store a Zoom L12 and it does so with room to spare. The foam around the edges isn't all that good at the top by the hinges (we left about 2.5" of room...3 rows of the pick and pull foam and the foam that goes around the edges), but I might have a bad batch of foam. In spite of that, the mixer doesn't move once it's inside, as the egg foam in the top holds everything in place. The pick and pull foam was a bit stubborn to customize compared with a couple of other pick and pull cases I've used. If I hadn't been making a large 12"x 17.5" space to store it in and was making multiple smaller spaces, it might have been more frustrating. The latches are sturdy but easy enough to undo and the case itself feels sturdy. It is definitely BIG, but you don't buy an case labeled XL and expect it to be a dainty thing. I don't have experience with Pelican or any other brand, but I'm quite happy with the case. I do wish the foam didn't give me immediate concern about the long term ability to not get warped and/or flimsy, but time well tell. If I had to store multiple smaller items, I'm not confident the foam would hold up. If it everything stays as is, this is a 4-star purchase and definitely recommendable. If it does not and the foam gets flimsy in spite of the 2.5" or so we left, then it's a 3-star item.

Way better then expected, cases look and feel very solid. Cases are filled with 4-5 layers of foam and it is pre cut in small squares so you can rip it and make space for whatever equipment you need which is very nice. Also you can attach 2 locks at the front, overall super nice quality, i would give 6 stars.

Everything is good except that the pluck-it foam was a bit hard to tear and I found it easier to cut it with a knife.
