Q: Is it safe to lay the packets directly on my instrument?

Yes, the bamboo charcoal packets are safe to lay directly on your instrument.

Q: How do you know when it’s time to recharge these?

It depends on the humidity level in your room. In general, we recommend recharging the 50 g pouches monthly. If you read the RH level above 60%, it's time to recharge as the pouches should bring the RH level between 55 to 60%.

Q: What is the actual length & width of the bag & bamboo? Not sure these will fit in my case.

dimensions are 9"x3"x1" (length x width x thickness). 3 out of the 4 side edges have 0.5" wide that is quite flat. Thickness is a bit less than 1". Hope that helps.

Q: Can these be put inside the guitar itself(through the sound hole)? will it damage the guitar in any way?

Not recommended as it could be hard to take the pouch(es) out from the sound hole afterwards. Might possibly damage the guitar or strings when you're trying to take it out. The pouch itself inside the sound hole shouldn't damage the guitar.
