Chronic nosebleed sufferer
I have always had bad nose bleeds since I was a very little girl. It was so bad it would fill up both nostrils and come out my mouth. I had it cauterized which fixed it for many years. In the last few years I've started getting them more frequently and sometimes they are bad. Since I work now it's not always easy to stop a double nostril bleed. These nampons are fantastic for that. I've only had to use them once at work, but they worked really well for my bad ones. The fact that the nampon swells and puts pressure on the bleeding spot is wonderful! Mine was so bad it took awhile to stop still but I was able to go hands free and back to work without having to worry about catching the blood in a napkin or paper towel. I wish they were more round or nose shaped but they are thin and easy to carry around in a tool belt. I accidentally yanked the clot out when I removed it because I was being impatient, but it didn't cause it to bleed more thanks to the coagulant inside. I am absolutely buying these again and taking them wherever I go!

A must have for those prone to nosebleeds
I have had nosebleeds for several years and have gone through cauterization; however, the issue is not yet resolved. I have tried many products, the plastic nose clamps, and cotton inserts. Of course, I've tried tissue paper and paper towels. I could soak completely through cotton nose packsThis product stops even heavy nosebleeds unbelievably fast. I had a nosebleed shortly after this was delivered and it stopped in under five minutes. No drip. In fact, the unit was only half fouled and it seems like i could have probably cut it in half and still had success. I honestly couldn't believe how well it worked.Until I get a permanent solution to my nosebleed issue - I am going to keep one of these in my pocket any time I go out. I'm not aware of any other product out there that can perform to this level of efficacy. The price is a bit higher than standard nose packs; however, it's a different kind of product. Totally worth it.Initially, I thought it looked strange. The product is rigid and thin. Though, once you put it in, it can greatly expand and can absorb better than any product I've seen. I don't pretend to know how the clotting agent works. But, I can attest that it does very effectively.

Good, but a couple of problems
The directions say to leave it in place for 10 minutes - but a nosebleed will usually stop by then even if you just hold Kleenex against it. But, I tried them anyway to see for myself. The first few times I used them they worked great and the bleeding stopped much faster that 10 min. More like almost instantly. I was able to pull it away after it had expanded without it sticking and opening up more bleeding, as the company says it will.. Then on maybe the 4th nosebleed, the stick stuck to the node and opened it all up again and the blood started flowing. So this CAN happen, but it’s only happened once so far to me. NOTE: my bleeds come from the septum of the nose, so you can press it up against it easily and it stops. It’s not just compressed cellulose, it has a clotting agent on the outside of it. However if you have nosebleeds that are coming from your sinuses or are up higher than the inside of your nose, this will not help it because you can’t get the material up that high. I saw a couple other negative reviews here saying that it did nothing and they had to keep going through one after another, which means the bleed is not localized to the inside of the nose, but it’s coming from up higher. The second problem is the way they are packaged - the cutouts used to tear the top off to get the stick out are much too high - you tear it across, but it is still too high to be able to reach in and pull the stick out easily. When your nose is pouring blood, the last thing you need is to not be able to get the stick out after you’ve opened the top. Plus, you usually only have one hand to be able to open it, which is not possible when you’re tearing that thing across because you’re holding Kleenex up your nose as it’s pouring blood. So they need to change the packaging so that the notches are in line or a little below the top of the stick and it would be great if they came up with a new way that didn’t take two hands to struggle with while your nose is continuing to bleed. That said I keep them in my bag. I keep them on the kitchen table and I keep them next to the bed because they really stop bleeding quickly.

Works! And stops the bleed fast.
My girls are both susceptible to nose bleeds when the air is dry. These work so well. Even my 5 year old doesn’t have trouble with them. I used to get the Blood Cease pads and we’d have to roll them up and stick them in the nostril - it worked after a few minutes and was uncomfortable to get into the correct spot. Dreaded. These immediately expand when the blood touches them so that they easily get to the wound and the nose bleeds stops within a minute. Probably faster but we always leave it in longer to make sure. They don’t stick so there is no trama taking out either. A life saver when the bleed starts at 2am. HSA card to purchase!

They really work!
I absolutely love these nose strips. They really do stop the bleeding. I had several very bad bloody noses, so I went looking for something to help me. I found these and I am so grateful for them. They are a little expensive, but the do the job and that's what counts.

These work! I get bloody noses from time to time and a couple of weeks ago, got one stuck this in my nose, followed the directions and it stopped the nose bleed. Very impressed.

It Works! Up to a Point
Initially very satisfied to stop a nosebleed, but when the flow on another episode was excessive, it was not sufficient. Used up all the rest (5) to no avail. Had to go to ER. Would only recommend as long as the flow is minor and responds to standard pinching of nose, etc.
