I bought this as a gift for my nephew and he loves it. I don't know how to play it, but this was exactly what he wanted.

Things don’t snap together, they’re on magnets
So I kinda freaked out when putting this toy together after my 9 year old ripped it apart to get it out of the package. The controllers and backdrop don’t “snap” or “click” into place, they slide. They’re all on magnets and move around quite a bit but it makes things easier to grip and makes the battle more fun and last longer because you can move your guy around to dodge and stuff. It’s pretty cool!

Fun!
My 8 year old likes this and plays with my 6 year old daughter. The sounds are cool. The kids like to use all their different Akedo figures for different match-ups.

Build quality hit and miss
My 1st grader loved playing with this. The sound effects and music were pretty cute and the little figurines were neat. One of the two platforms doesn't lock into place tightly so it comes loose all the time which is really frustrating. A huge disappointment.
